WinTV Go Multiple PCI Cards

Post by sir4c »

Does zoneminder support multiple PCI TV cards (WinTV Go's)???

I have an Intel 810 motherboard with lots of PCI slots and I've had Zone Minder running for months with a single WinTV PCI card (using composite input).

I decided to expand my system and so I purchased 2 brand new WinTV Go PCI cards and plugged them in, then re-built zoneminder from scratch using the LiveCD.

My problem is that I can only get one of the three cards to work, which is the origional WinTV card. The 2 new ones don't seem to want to show anything but a black image.

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated!

Could you help me to do that?

Perhaps a link to a manual or something, or at least a pointer to the right file?

Many thanks

All the documentation should be on your machine:
file:///usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-2.6.12/Documentation/video4linux/

What is supported is not determined by ZM but by the Linux distro you are running and whats available in the kernel itself. As far as tuner cards they are somewhat hit and miss.

If you have one working the rest should work, and you just need to configure them correctly.
