Foscam FI9803P V2 Camera working

Post by jmulchin »

Fedora 23 machine, Zoneminder V1.29 installed
Camera is a Foscam FI9803P V2 1280/720 wireless access with Fixed IP address.
You need Windows Active-X add-on with Internet Explorer to config the camera.
The camera defaults to username = admin, and password is empty.

Monitor Setup TABS:
General Tab:
Name = [what ever you want to name your camera]
Server = None
Source Type = Ffmpeg
Function = [what ever you want, monitor is easiest to start with]
Enabled = checked
Leave all boxes having anything to do with FPS blank
Source Tab:
Source Path = rtsp://username:password@<camera IPaddr>:554/videoMain
Remote Method = RTP/RTSP
Options = blank
24 bit color
Capture Width = 1280
Capture Height = 720

All remaining Tabs are as defaulted during installation, I changed nothing.
Click the SAVE button to finish setup

Hi, I have the exact same settings, but I get this ERR message:

What am I doing wrong?

Camera
Model FI9803P V2
System Firmware Version 1.9.1.11
Application Firmware Version 2.54.1.32

ZoneMinder: v1.29.0

This is an old post, but for posterity's sake ... I get this error message whenever I mistakenly keep any Foscam camera's web admin panel open. Close the web admin panel and the problem should go away.
