Check your apache error log after bringing up the zone config window and it will give you a clue more specifically as to what is wrong.
I'd guess that either you have the images folder improperly configured in options, or a permissions problem with that folder.

MPEG_LIVE_FORMAT should be the video container you want to use... ie asf, avi, check the tool tip in the Options/Images for that option setting hints.

I'd ask fonera if there is another path you can use that redirects to the correct path.

I'm not sure... it has to do with the way the package is made for your distro and not ZM specifically.
There is no code in ZM source to drop databases like that.

I'm trying to grasp what your trying to explain... So with V4L1 you get better image/video quality than using V4L2... You have progressive scanning lines that move from the top of the display and move slowly towards the bottom... is this a like a black/gray semi striped bar that is maybe about 1/8 t...

What do you have your zones set as? If you configure so that the Max alarm area is somewhere between 70 to 90% it will help cut out some of these alarms. Cameras don't send anything to say that they are switching modes so there is no way for ZM to know that the image change isn't something to be int...

So long as the permissions are set to allow apache to access them the only other thing that comes to mind is make sure your not using compact montage. The wav is played in the frame that shows the status of the camera.

ZM does not currently handle audio so it's not really known by most of us which cards have audio support in the linux kernel.

If you look in the wiki there is a spread sheet to calculate what the storage requirements are. Requirements vary depending on configuration so there is not just one easy answer.

Are there any errors showing up in the apache logs?
Maybe try Firefox with firebug loaded and see what you get on the client side if nothing stands out in the apache logs.

Why should hopefully be noted in one of the logs ( zmdc.log, syslog, or messages. sometimes you find a clue in dmesg) but without this info it's a hundred guesses and we are as clueless as you.
