Seems to me an option setting defaulting to do not create would be the answer here.

Personally I would use Axis wireless cameras. I have had bad experiences with the low-end Panasonic wireless cameras. I would recommend one of these: AXIS 207W, AXIS 211W.

There is also a way to filter and delete by date or number of days. Our latest ZM client wants to keep 90 days for each camera for audit purposes. I created a filter to delete anything older than 90 days and set it to run automatically. Just play with the filter options to find what you want and DO ...

In my experience the Panasonic BL-C30 cameras are crap. They do not even work correctly all the time with Panasonic's own little video servers. I recommend selling or giving that thing to someone and getting an Axis camera instead. If you cannot do that then you are pretty much stuck with poor perfo...

Gentle prod ... is there a "stable" release now? If so, I missed the post where you mention it. :)

I am going to be installing 2 Axis 247S video servers this week at a client site along with 2 analog cameras (eventually plan to get overlay on the video from analog capture device). I will post a review of this on our company blog in the Video Surveillance section.

I can give you file space and access to FTP uploads on my web site. Send me a PM here to work out the details. ZM4MS - need a "stable" release

The continuing saga of corporate IT versus ZoneMinder ... The corporate IT folks at our newest ZM client site are refusing to allow ZM4MS to be installed because the filename has the word "beta" in it. Could a "stable" release be made so we can get around this problem? I know, yo...

Internet Exploder vs Firefox for ZM remote access

Hi folks, I am aware of ZM4MS and am recommending it to an end-user since IE will not show the jpeg streams from ZM. However, I wondered today if they could use Firefox on the Windows systems in place of IE and have the streams just work ? I did a search of these forums and I think the answer is &qu...

It is not OSS that is the problem. It is certain closed source codecs and libraries that are under copyright and/or patent protection. Those are the legal challenge. Some types of video cannot be viewed "legally" on a Linux system when using those codecs and/or libraries in certain parts o...
