this url works, only if i authenticate first.. i get a stream in firefox..
with IE i get a slower stream..

i wouldnt expect there to be that much difference between them to be honest it was a great surprise to me to see a linux box with such big load, using only 30% of its memory.. ZM is cpu intensive if you use something more than a camera and something bigger than 320x240 or 5 fps.. i wonder about cpu...

well,

i have 2 cpus, which one would be better for my ZM box ?
p4@3Ghz (2mb cache) or p4@3.2Ghz (1mb cache) ?

I installed ZM with p4@3.2Ghz (1mb cache), and cpu load average goes from 1.5 to 4 (1 usb cam, 1 remote cam, 8ch Kodicam card).

i'd say p4@3Ghz (2mb cache), but whats your opinion ?

from my personal experience:

buy a usb webcam with a ccd sensor, not with a cmos one...
cheap cmos cameras, are crap..

Newbie Questions..

hello, after a week exploring ZM, i have some questions... when ZM detects motion, starts capture.. I want to extend capture time.. how ? when i first installed, when i was viewing events, there was a red line, indicating the motion detection in a frame.. now is dissapeared, how can i get it back ?
