Thanks, I will try it.

One question though again - do I need to change anything in the zone settings? Or I can use the default values for new monitors?

Hi. This sounds interesting and may finally fix the motion detection issues I have personally with ZM :). Any chance of having the path in compilable state, so I could test it as well? Also, any special settings need to be set in the zone configuration, or it will work out of box? Thanks. P.S.: The ...

ZM skips large chunks of recordings

Hi. I stumbled on a new issue, where ZM simply skips large chunks of time (up to 10 minutes), in the recordings. I'm using the following zone settings, based on Best, high sensitivity, tuned for increased detection: Min/Max Pixel Threshold (0-255) 20 Filter Width/Height (pixels) 3 3 Zone Area 100 Mi...

Thanks, lowering to 7 seem to have helped.

Though I discovered a new issue now :(, will post separately.

High blendage % causes missed frames?

Hi. I noticed that I miss sometimes rather large chunks of footage, sometimes up to 2-5 minutes. This happens especially on low movement, where people are just standing or move a bit, but not much. I think it could be related to the relatively high %age that i set of 50. Could it be the reason, and ...

I will post it, thanks Phil for your help.

By the way, perhaps you can resolve the long-lasting question I have, and tell me, how blend % actually influences the detection mechanism?

Also, what's better for slow moving objects vs. fast moving - high % (like 50) or low % (like the default 7)?

Linux front-end

Hi.

Were there any developments with Linux front-end, which can run on same machine as ZM?

Which is the version people are using?

Thanks.

Hi Phil. Well, it's good to know that even you not perfect :). Since my first posting, I reduced the pre-event to 100, but it still has ghost frames here and there. What's the most strange thing, is that it doesn't seems as being wrapped around. I mean, in such case it would be displaying: 1) ghost ...

Hi.

Back here with my friend who (still) wants to cover his warehouse.

Is there any card on the market, compatible with ZM, which provides 16 channels real-time capture?

Thanks in advance.

Hi James. Thanks for your opinion, but here Phil said it's perfectly safe to set the pre-event number to buffer size - alarms frames: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10714&highlight= Without checking I can't be exactly sure but until I can confirm I would set it to image buffer ...

Time jumps in recorded frames

Hi. As some may recall, I increased the default pre/post buffers to 120 frames in order to reduce "disappearing" people effect (where people dis/appeared into/from nowhere). Now, having a buffer of 120, pre of 119, and post of 120, I noticed in records an effect of time jump for random fra...

Thanks for the explanation.

I understand it's possible to have maximum of 16 cameras on 15 fps or 30 fps, depending on the card type. What are these cards?

Also, is it possible to have 2 cards of the same type, and overcome the 16 cameras limit?

Thanks.

I actually fine with all the picture being analyzed. Which zone settings should I set for this size?

Btw, I'm using the 1.22.2 version. Were there any motion detection bugs fixed since then?
