Source Type cURL doesn't work in 1.29
I can't seem to get any monitors that use a Source type = cURL. I have the same cameras working on a ZM 1.28.107 install side by side. The monitor configs are identical and both are running on Ubuntu 14.04. I thought that the fact that ffmpeg was not installed on the new 1.29 system was the problem ...

Re: ZM 1.29 Ubuntu 14.04 missing ffmpeg
I was thinking that it might have been intended to be included in the ZM installation.

ZM 1.29 Ubuntu 14.04 missing ffmpeg
Is ffmpeg supposed to be installed as part of the zoneminder package? I think I had to install it after the fact on my previous version of ZM.
I could not get monitors with cURL to work and determined that this must be the reason.

Re: GUI Console says "Stopped" but is actually "Running"...
Old thread, but I see this running on Ubuntu 14.04 with ZM 1.28.107, which seems to be logging to /tmp/zm

Re: Ubuntu 14.04 - No installation candidate
I'm seeing a similar issue, but not on an ARM.
I tried the same install instructions and ended up with 1.26.5.
Does anyone know if the PPA is broken or if this is an issue with a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04 server?

Re: Iinstall of 1.26 gets 1.25?
I've tried that exact procedure and ended up with 1.25. This thread was really based on that problem and it seems that it could be related to the minor modifications that are made to the 12.04 build on my Utilite Pro system. I thought they only changed the kernel, but nothing else explains why the P...

Re: Iinstall of 1.26 gets 1.25?
FYI...
Turns out I was mistaken about the base package that I get with a clean 12.04 install. It is 1.25.

I'm happy to try anything at this point. I really want to be on as recent of a release as possible.

Re: Iinstall of 1.26 gets 1.25?
The only odd thing about the system is that the OS is slightly customized for the Utilite Pro that it is running on, but I think the only difference is firmware related.

Iinstall of 1.26 gets 1.25?
I tried to follow these fresh install instructions and ended up with 1.25? http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_12.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.26.4_the_easy_way I also tried the 1.27 version of instructions. If I follow the process without adding the ppa, I end up with 1.26? Any he...

Re: Zoneminder send alarm events to XBMC
I completely agree with your comments and I plan to do more with an add-on similar to what yours does when I get some free time. I just wanted to give Dre something useful while he waits..:-) I still think it is possible to do the pop-up window with out any add-on though, but it might just be easier...

Re: Zoneminder send alarm events to XBMC
OK... I have something working... It isn't perfect, but it is a start. There are 2 major issues with this approach: 1 - You need to specify the script as an 'Execute command on all matches' script in your ZM filter configuration. This works, but it is not executed very quickly due to the way ZM hand...

Re: Zoneminder send alarm events to XBMC
What you need to do is pretty simple. You have two basic choices: - You can use the the "Filter" functionality to execute a script like the one that Azelphur provided to do what you want, but you will need to add functionality to grab the image that triggered the event. For that you can lo...
