Try out jZMConsole and don't even use the montage view. Just a suggestion and it's working great with my setup.

Sorry, couldn't resist. That little board you showed me is pretty neat. I started looking at the wiki on it and it already has about 99% of the packages needed to enable usb 2.0 and video with the UVC driver already done. The only thing that's not listed is mjpg_streamer or motion. I'm sure I could ...

If you have time to take a look I put my Orbit AF remote mjpg_streamer thing back up on my Zoneminder DVD. I can control the camera from within Zoneminder but not from the remote client jzmc on Vista. I can see the picture and controls but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I didn't have time for...

Let me know how that device works out. Openwrt is very powerful and flexabile so you might be lucky have find the proper packages precomipiled. You can totally use just motion for what your needing. I've got it all working with this router, Planex (PCI) MZK-W04NU, 32MB RAM and 8MB flash, USB port, 1...

NVA's explained how his routers work, but I think you've missed his point that theoretically you can use his cheap routers with cheap USB cams, and have better coverage with the mesh networking. This is true, all routers flashed with the firmware our mesh builder makes will allow a very limited sup...

I didn't forget about further testing, just really busy. I did however find time to fire up my NSLU2 and the Orbit AF using a remote instance of mjpg_streamer. I was doing this all from a KVM so something could have been up. In Zoneminder I setup the proper settings to control the Orbit AF using the...

Hey cordel, glad to see you have these also. I've went back and forth between Openwrt and dd-wrt. The best is Openwrt and booting Debian, that's sort of on the downlow for now until it's all stable and refined :)

This thing must be really slow to produce, finally the other day I got the email saying it's been shipped. It's been so long since I purchased it I almost forgot about it. Since I've got the Routerstation doing everything I need for half the price I'm probably going to sell it if anyone want's one. ...

That is true, you could even use your home wireless router. The mesh builder was really for large area's or hard to reach places where you could atleast get power but maybe not tons of cables. The other thought was to use low prices lan camera's and the cheap repeaters to setup a very low cost solut...

1. If you don't mind I would like to copy your picture. You have hit the nail on the head and fully understand how the layout would work. I couldn't have explained it better myself, should have drawn it out like you did. The only thing you might have to consider is some port forwards rules between y...

The mesh builder is currently running on a remote server. It's mostly web/php code displayed on a web page with a behind the scenes custom firmware builder for the specified routers. I've not included it in my DVD yet. I will send you a link via PM so you can see exactly what I'm talking about and h...

I found some of those issues's in my 9.04 dvd, that's why i pulled it for now. My new 8.04 dvd has everything working minus what appears the export button using tar or zip. It loads as if it's going to but never finishes. All packages and perl modules are installed as well as tar and zip. I could ac...

Ok, I'll try my best to explain after having a better understanding of what your trying to do. The routers I showed you was a project I started where I was trying to make a very low cost wirless camera solution using off the shelf items and just a little work to get it going. You see, Axis or other ...

I know I can be a bit confusing but here is a couple things for you, This is the routerstation, http://www.ubnt.com/products/rs.php This is the ASUS WL500W ( I have mjpg_streamer running perfect on this) http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=12 and last but not least the $49 router, http://www.planex...
