There is no way to do this via the zm interface but in the last release of zm4ms i added a means to export all archived events into 1 video. Might be worth a look Definitely worth a look. I'll try to find this zm4ms thing you mention. Thank you. Well, that was a nice idea but I cannot implement it....

I've used BL-C30A Panasonic camera's with a different (non-ZoneMinder) system. IMO the Panasonic BL-C* series is crap. After using Axis cameras with ZoneMinder I'll never recommend a Panasonic IP camera again. :D

Depending on how soon, they could just do it from within ZM over the web. It is much simpler to just use the front end to view, rather than create an aditional step. Unless it is long after the events would normally purge. Unfortunately we have yet to get permission from this client's IT division t...

Hmmm, ok, no replies. Does this mean this is not able to be done? I still have not figured out how to do this. The installation of any additional ZoneMinder systems for this client hinges on being able to do something like this. We have the possibility to install in up to 11 more multi-camera sites ...

Export a whole day or many selected events to MPEG or AVI?

Hi folks. We need to be able to export a whole day of events (7:00AM to 6:00PM) or selected events using the checkboxes from the web event log on a single camera into a single MPEG or AVI file for export to a Microsoft Windows XP (or Vista) laptop to be viewed later in random audits. The events DO N...

IMO it is better to install ZM from source if at all possible. As for your question about a current Mandriva RPM for ZM here is a Wiki search for you: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... riva&go=Go

use a filter if you seta filter and save it and select 'automatically delete matches' then that will remove whatever you set in the filter I am not on-site with the machine today but I do not recall a filter to purge records older than X number of days. I'll have to look at the options again when I...

Purging events with cron?

Greetings all. I have been trying to discover a way to purge events older than a set number of days that can be run from cron on a nightly basis. In my case I need to purge all events older than 90 days on a system with four cameras. Each camera needs to have 90 days of events saved with all events ...

i beliver rieser doesnt have this limit, but you can also tweak ext3 when setting the partition. 32k is a lot of events if your using mocord/record then extend the section length, if not increase the post alarm count so that multiple events will be joined rather tahn 6 events for the same thing I w...

More RAM is always better when running LiveCD operating systems. If you can bump the RAM up to 512MB or 1GB it will probably help a lot.

32000 event limit revisited

We are still having problems hitting 32000 events on a camera that needs to keep 90 days of records. I pray there is a way to get more than 32000 events on an ext3 file system "in the works" for the next release and that release is imminent. If not then what file systems that can handle mo...
