Does someone make a successfull complete instal of ZoneMinder on ubuntu.
Regarding my instal, my problem is with zm service which doesn't want to start and stop correctly. Problem with zm script instal (zmpkg.pl)

Hello, I need help to install zm service on ubuntu. Even if I have installed zm script shell with
update-rc.d zm defaults
When I connect zm web page, zm stay stopped. When I check services zm service doesn't appear on service's list.
Please help linux newbie

Does someone coud give me name of Zm script to put into etc/init.d (see §5 of readme file).

I think someone would need to package it for that to work on ubuntu. I use synaptic on pclos and as its not in reps as no-one has built it i have to use the mandraje rpm's but i think on ubuntu you will have to build from the source Yes, i've build it from source code. ZM software is now installed ...

If you have had to manually adjust privileges then it implies that possibly the web user or group you specified in configure may have been wrong in which case you will probably hit other problems down the line. The problem was here. I just adjust privileges and I can now access to web pages.
