Re: No Still Frames
Did you follow the instructions for Ubuntu in the WIKI? I followed these docs: 1 - https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Install_MariaDB_Server_10.0 then 2 - https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_16.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.30.0_the_easy_way then fixed nph path 3 - https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewto...

punisherb273 just a quick question to see if i am bumping into the same problem on a new setup, did you see the frames properly ordered "1, 2, 3 ..." when you clicked "frames" or would there be frame numbers skipped "1, 2, 4, 7 ...." *before you* fixed the issue? thank...

Re: No Still Frames
I think I am bumping into the same issue on the regular zoneminder (not the storageareas build), I can see the events ZM is detecting, but I can't see the individual frames when I click on each of them - I get the pop-up with an empty box for the image. I tried setting DIR_EVENTS on the GUI to /var/...

Re: cpu usage for source ffmpeg vs remote
Sorry for the dumb question, but why is there a performance boost from 24 to 32bit colorspace? I did notice a small improvement when I changed it from 24bit to 32bit, just trying to understand.knnniggett wrote: Note that you will get a performance boost if you change to 32bit colorspace.

cloning camera's config
It would be nice to have another button by "ADD NEW MONITOR" that was "CLONE MONITOR", that would pop-up a pre-filled dialog box using everything from the original camera selected (would work like a template). This is useful when you have a bunch of "the same" cameras (...

Analysis FPS not being applied exactly
Hi It seems most monitors I have set the "Analysis FPS" to be lower than the the actual feed FPS are not the value I set. For instance, all my cameras are set to feed 12 FPS, and I have configured Analysis FPS to be 6 FPS. The analysis FPS (when seeing the log file) is anywhere from 6 to 1...

Re: ZM on SmartOS or any Illumos distro?
So I got it to work on SmartOS through ubuntu LX. I will share my notes once I clean them up. Is it possible to add an Illumos section to the wiki (not official, just user contributed)? It would be nice to have an Illumos section (as opposed to having illumos entries spread as subtopics under other ...

ZM on SmartOS or any Illumos distro?
I tried searching and saw the last post on something OpenSolaris based was back on 2009. Has anyone tried installing it on SmartOS or any Illumos distro? Any pointers?
thanks

USB Endoscope / Wire cameras with zoneminder?
I am thinking about buying one of those cheap endoscope USB cameras to assist me with drywall cable fishing, but was thinking i could reuse it as a security camera after (pointing it on a window to the outside), as I already have zonemider setup with a bunch of (IP) cameras, why not one more :) Has ...

Re: how to troubleshoot "Video Generation Failed!"
Awesome thanks Paco! Just found out that ubuntu renamed ffmpeg to avconv and added that to the path.

how to troubleshoot "Video Generation Failed!"
Hi Running 1.28.1 on ubuntu 14.04, and trying to generate videos from events and getting this "Video Generation Failed!" message. I know this is very broad and sorry if this question was answered before (i didn't have much luck on google) - but which logs should i check to understand what ...
