Glad someone's going to put this project on the next level.
I would be running this software if it we're to have a better front-end

Yessir.
I think that the advent of a gtk gui would really propel this project into a whole other class. I've been using the project for 2 or 3 months overall and testing various other windows based products....
This is the ONE thing that holds the product back from being 100%

I know this kind of goes against the web - based pricipal of ZM... but further functionality / beauty / client-ship would be instantaneous if there were a nice gtk gui for ZM Is there a project like this out there yet? I'd be willing to donate whatever applicable skills I have to offer..... I'm not ...

I have a 4 port bttv card that is registering under /dev/video0. and only /dev/video0 (no 1 2 3) ports. I have no /dev/v4l being created. Is my kernel or bttv module to old? I've tried 2 4 port cardswith the same result. Even all the recommended "card=" options bare the same result... Ubun...
