Re: Automatic user log out?

I've just experimented with two computers, one logged in, then browsed to my ZM console with the other to be presented with the login screen - so I think my concerns are a non-issue, as it seems to be the specific browser that stays logged in, rather than the ZM website being open during the time it...

Re: Frames out of sequence

I've had a similar issue, but mine freezes up also.. I'll check the timestamps as you've done.. My thread is here: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=22701 My nest thing to try is to reduce the resolution of the images from the camera, as they are a bit excessive, this will re...

Automatic user log out?

Hi all, Is there a setting to automatically log a user session out upon closing the ZM windows? I've recently set up two accounts, one Admin, one User. This is because I'm buying a domain name for home, which will allow me to remotely access ZM, but I'm worried if I leave it logged in accidentally, ...

Re: Event Playback stream issue

Thanks BB, I'll give that a try too. I'm also considering lowering the resolution of the camera, as the images are taking up loads of HDD space, and viewing in Zoneminder windows, not all windows allow you to resize the image down.

Cheers, Scott.

Re: Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera image glitches

Hi, Sorry for the delay, been busy with other things for a while.. The recorded images are much better than before, now I've lowered the frame rate, none of the glitchy "artefacts" as seen before. But I do have another issue.. This new issue involves playback of recorded events, the frames...

Re: Event Playback stream issue

Thank for the pointer - I've tried it, and now am having slightly different results, but still not right... When before, playback would do one or two frames and just stop, now it does a few frames, then jumps around forward and backward in time a bit, then stops. I have the event data stored on a se...

Event Playback stream issue

Hi guys, I'm struggling to play back event videos, I get about 2 frames (JPG stream) and then it locks up. Viewing the camera stream from ZM console works perfectly. Also, opening the individual recorded event JPG's works fine too. This is over a network, as ZM sits on a dedicated headless Ubuntu Se...

Re: Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera image glitches

Thank you so much for the in-depth guidance, it's very much appreciated. It's raining here tonight, so I've not got much chance to walk around in front of it, but I'll do as you say to fine-tune it over the coming weeks. I've dropped it to 16FPS, and I've got to say, It's looking promising so far! J...

Re: Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera image glitches

Thanks for the reply. If I lower the bitrate at the camera, I assume this will limit the FPS..? however, ifI do as you have done, and set the camera FPS lower, it should be less of an issue. I have just bought a proper 24 port 19" rack Gigabit PoE Ethernet switch (Netgear GS724TP-100), which ma...

Re: Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera image glitches

The seller has been really helpful,

He showed me how to remotely reboot the camera... and I hate to temp fate, but so far, so good (an hour or so)...

The proof will be over the next few days to see if any more false events are captured.

Help please with using a seperate drive...

Hi all, My ZM computer has two drives, a small-ish SSD for OS (Ubuntu Server 14.04) and Zoneminder (1.28.0) software. It has a second drive, a 500GB normal rotary drive, which I had previously mounted using fstab to /media/storage . I've just had a go at following the instructions here: http://www.z...
