Bind the web server to the internal nic. That should keep it from going through the proxy. If no, you may have to multinet the internal nic, and bind to the second address.

We need so much more information. Start by looking in \var\log\messages and \var\log\syslog for obvious errors.

Also note that there are 2 Max FPS settings. One for unalarmed and one for alarmed.

You can stop the ZM service, and run a mysqlcheck via cron, then restart the ZM service. That limits your exposure to 1 day max. (Or hourly, if you really want. Generally it takes less than 3 minutes. And yes, a UPS and good hardware minimize it. I just always plan for the worst so I don't get surpr...

Your issues will be in administration. If it reboots in a database write, you will corrupt the database and no more recording, for example. As to cards, I would get a single chip 4 port card. The BT878 chips run very hot, which means they use a lot of power. Would 11fps do it? A single chip will do ...

A 240fps card will make the timing issues in VIA chipsets really stand out while a single chip 30fps card may get by. For me it ...

I have also used it on some Via boards. You do not need much HP, if you have few cameras and no GUI.
