Re: New install worked, now gets 500 error

New information! I slapped my forehead when I remembered this morning one could enable error logging for PHP in php.ini. I did that for logging to 'syslog' and to display errors in the browser and now can see the error: Jan 18 11:25:59 zmvss httpd: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_p...

Re: New install worked, now gets 500 error

That file did not exist in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ when I checked. Creating it and editing for this install to use the correct document root did not help though. The short_open_tag is already on in php.ini. FollowSymLinks was already enabled. Since this is going to be a stand-alone ZM VSS I am not using ...

Re: Hardware do this?

I would not try to use IP based cameras with so little RAM. Plus you might need to limit frame rates and image sizes to keep from overloading the CPU. The minimum CPU and RAM I will install these days in a ZM system for 3 IP cameras is dual-core 2.x GHz with 2 GB RAM. Your system could probably hand...

[RESOLVED!] New install worked, now gets 500 error

Hi All, Okay, I have been hanging out on #zoneminder at freenode.net for two days now asking for help and only got one response there. Not even one that was really helpful. Hopefully, some of you here can help me solve this. The directory structure on this build is: [root@zmvss Build]# df -h Filesys...

Dedicated Partition for Events and Images During ./configure

Hi all, my last ZM build was a while back. Pre-1.25.x for that matter. I am building a new ZM VSS for a client and have a dedicated RAID1 to use for the events and images. I have been studying WIKI documents, reading the FAQ and looking at the output of './configure --help'. So far, I see no way to ...

Agreed with the dissenters as live streaming to record on CD or DVD would probably not work well. The flash drive idea is an interesting one. I have seen "dedicated" video surveillance systems by Panasonic and other manufacturers that will use CF cards or SD cards to store data for archive...

Ping! ZM LiveCD Authors.

Our company's web host upgraded our web site for free to 5600.00 GB (which I read as 5.6 terabytes ) of bandwidth per month. I can get up to "15,000 Gigs/Month" of bandwidth just by asking for it at no charge. We also get 1,500 GB of storage. I am offering free FTP upload space to ZoneMind...

It looks 99% like one i tried last week , seems to have a heat issue as it locks up or screws up the displayed video feed. You may have more luck than i did, but i should say i was (going to at a later date) going to fit some Heatsinks on the card chips and try and cool it down a tad. ... Try a slo...

my ip address is 82.3.202.39 Dynocolor i think is using port 5116 username and password is guest ... You kind-of need to know for certain the port being used as well as have a forwarding rule in your firewall for that port. Is the camera attached directly to the internet at that IP address? Do you ...

Personally I would use Axis wireless cameras. I have had bad experiences with the low-end Panasonic wireless cameras. I would recommend one of these: AXIS 207W , AXIS 211W . I can find the 207W in the UK, but not the 211W. THe wiki states the 207 has some hardware issues, so i'd rather keep off it....
