Re: corrupt jpeg
This is a problem with foscam cameras. knnniggett's patch is a good fix which doesn't involve messing around with libjpeg. If the patch doesn't apply cleanly, you can always apply it manually by hand editing the file. mastertheknife The problem I encountered is that due to my rather... interesting ...

I broke something :( ZM Service fails to start
Update: works fine now - please close :) ____ In my quest to try and quiet down the logs, I attempted, once more, to patch zm_jpeg.cpp per the instructions and run make && sudo make install # Alas - after doing that, ZoneMinder fails to start - this is all that is visible in syslog: Sep 6 00...

Re: The infamous Corrupt JPEG problem...
Here's something interesting... I used the guide on the wiki to install Zoneminder on top of Debian 6.0 (http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Debian_6_Squeeze_64-bit_with_ZoneMinder_1.25.0_Preview,_FFmpeg,_libjpeg-turbo,_Webmin,_Cambozola(Spanish_Diciembre_2011) I also applied the performance pa...

The infamous Corrupt JPEG problem...
Gents, I have a Foscam FI8904W I just got, and a couple additional Foscam camera on their way (different model). I too receive the infamous 'Corrupt JPEG data: 1 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd9' error message that keeps flooding my logs. I've tried the trick found here: http://www.zoneminder.com...

Re: corrupt jpeg
In my opinion, it's much safer to patch the zoneminder source code rather than a library that is used by the entire system. I used the code posted in an older forum thread (can't recall which at the moment) to make the attached patch. The patch is intended to remove the corrupt jpeg errors that app...

Re: "Signal lost" doesn't create an "event"-major security i
I can attest to the fact that signal lost can indeed become detectable. I've had that happen a few times with my wifi camera - it has a few blips here and there and events are always created for that (though I created a filter that kills those notifications).

I have added a screenshot, to show you how this must be done.
Just play with the setting and try "submit" (without the marked delete box) to know if you have the required settings.
Goodluck and regards, Christo
Awesome - thanks!!

Re: Running filter on cron
Hi Christ,
A bit confused here... I don't have a "days" option on the far left drop down menu; perhaps you mean Time?
Thanks!

Re: Running filter on cron
On a slightly related note - do you happen to know how to setup a filter that will erase recordings after X amount days as opposed to when the disk reaches a certain percent? I have all my 'alarms' uploaded right away to my FTP server, but I don't see a need to have the events visible for more than ...

Re: BLUE SCREEN PROBLEM
I have setup zoneminder on ubuntu 12.04 server. Added three monitors to the system which are all trendnet 312W, 121w, and 410. The same thing happens when i click on any of them to see the live feed. It shows a blue screen with the timestamp in the corner counting the seconds, but the screen remain...

Re: Trigger Zone Alarm after a few seconds of detection
Ahhh! Got it
I think I got it configured the way I want... thought I will be getting a new camera soon enough so chances are I will have to redo the zone, but at least I now have a pretty good understanding of things!
Thanks again

Re: Trigger Zone Alarm after a few seconds of detection
Hi Cristo,
I think you are on to something here... I totally missed that field! These events last for a frame or so; a flicker here, a camera color blip there... I'll play with it and give it a test.
Thanks!

Re: ZM 1.25.0 Performance Patch - Completed
Wooo.... this looks quite promising... is there a guide that would be applicable for Debian Squeeze? I think some of the paths are different (I followed this guide - it'd need to be translated into English: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Debian_6_Squeeze_64-bit_with_ZoneMinder_1.25.0_Previ...
