Re: linking 2 zoneminder systems

You can add a third zm box and add all the camera feeds from the other boxes. Or you can add the feeds from one box to another, and set the cameras on monitor so you don't record twice. To get the URLs for the feeds, open any camera, and right clic on the image, then select "copy image url"...

Re: Intermitten Red Cameras???

You said they're all network cameras, maybe you have a problem with the bandwich, or some collisions. 50 cameras at 640x480 are a lot of data to handle. It also could be your hard drives not being fast enought.

Try turning on the extra loggin to check for extra errors.

Re: 16 CH 480FPS TECHWELL 6805

Yeah, they're now supported by the newest kernel and don't need any configuration. Try booting your system and adding a new camera, also run the command "dmesg" and post the output.

Don't see how is this zoneminder related, but whatever.

Hook the HDMI cable to the tv for video, and use the optical out on the PS3 to you sound system for the audio.

If you use the svn version, you get the 1.24.3. You could also patch the 1.24.2 version to get it working with the EyeZM app.

Follow the instructions on your link (http://www.eyezm.com/help/?ver=current)

An offtopic question, can you setup all your 8 channels to 640x480 resolution at the same time? It doesn't cause any problems beside that lines, or any freeze or hard lockups on your machine?

On you main console clic on the number in the ZONE column, you get there. I'm also hace a lot of short alarm events, 6 or 8 seconds most of them, the best first you should change, is the pre/post image count on the buffer tab, that determines how many frames are stored before and after an alarm is t...

Re: Gentoo

I noticed as a logged in user I can edit documentation and would like to update the Gentoo install page. Only thing is, would I be stepping all over the person who started that page? There would be extensive editing as the Gentoo install I just did was quite different than what is posted, although ...
