Display the camera on the X display

Hi.

I installed ratpoison (a very light X graphical display manager for Linux like Xfce or IceWM) and I wish to display on the LCD monitor connected to the VGA port the cameras which are used by Zoneminder in the same moment.

Is there a way to make this?

Thank you very much!
Bye.

Lex sv823a

Hi.

Anyone is using a Lex barebone with the sv823a motherboard with 4 or more video inputs?
I don't see the video well in Zoneminder or others applications (like Xawtv), so I'm trying to understand what is the problem...

Thank you very much!
Bye.

Xawtv usage

Hi.

How I can use Xawtv or Vlc to test a multichannel bt878 card?
I don't understand what is the command and what are the parameters to specify the input channel to view (my card has 4 channels).

Anyone could explain me this thing, please?

Thank you very much!
Bye.

How I can test the card on Linux to be use that it isn't a Linux related problem?
I tried with mplayer but if I execute mplayer -tv device=/dev/video0:input=0 it doesn't start and show me the help page, like the command is not correct.
With vlc I can't select the input but only the device.

I tested the capture card and the cameras on Windows with the original Grandtec Windows drivers and it works without any problem, so it isn't a card or camera related problem...

I checked the cameras, and they work well on a TV. I added the www-data user to the video group, but I still don't see anything. In the zone configuration windows in Zoneminder I only see a blue rectangle, and in the capture window I don't see anything (I see the white rectangle as the image doesn't...

I don't see the camera image

Hi. I installed Zoneminder 1.22.3 on a Debian Etch system with a Grandtec X-Guard PCI 9P capture card. I connected two cameras to the first and second input port of the Grandtec and I added a test monitor in ZoneMinder with /dev/video0 as device and "0" as channel (the 0 channel should be ...

Video device

Hi. I'm trying to configure a Zoneminder 1.22.3 installation with a Grandtec X-Guard PCI 9P (9 video input). The capture card is correctly recognised by the bttv kernel module, but I don't find its video devices. Should I have 9 /dev/videoX devices? I have 2 USB webcams connected to the same server ...

Multi-port PCI-X card

Hi.
Now all servers support only PCI-X cards and not old PCI cards.
Anyone knows any multi-port PCI-X card?
I searched for them but I didn't found anything.
Anyone could help me, please?
Thank you very much!
Bye.

Thank you!

Yes, I can send an image by MMS with some AT commands...
How can I execute an external command passing the event related image as argument?

The cost is not a problem, but I need to use a GPRS serial modem, because sometimes Zoneminder is installed in a mobile installation, and I don't have an Internet connection.
