because LD_PRELOAD is an environment variable you hat to set it before you start ZoneMinder. Because ZoneMinder uses wwwrun a user you have to add it for that user. Guess adding it to /etc/profile would do the trick.

this is a manual process, but it's quite simple, just go to http://mootools.net/core and select all and copy the downloaded file over the old mootools version. There's also a tarball available somewhere
