Re: Modect mode + continuous snapshot every 1 second, not Mo
Hello I'd like to take snapshots from my cameras every second (or other period). When motion detection trigger an alarm it should record at max FPS. I am aware that it could be done by Mocord feature, but I've tested it and discovered a big drawback. I set 1 FPS limit all time and no limit during a...

Re: Detect a person standing?
I have set a camera pointing out at the glass door in my shop. I've set the zone as attached. The problem is that, of course, I get a lot of false positives because of people just passing by (unfortunately, business is not so good that there are more people coming in :P). What I'd like to do is set...

Re: purge data
Thanks Christo! Are there any other instructions on how to "use the filter options or direct delete (truncate) the event table"? I can't figure out what I've read on the FAQ. And when I used phpmyadmin it seemed I had to delete the pictures in the database one by one. I can't figure out h...

Re: "Signal lost" doesn't create an "event"-major security i
I can attest to the fact that signal lost can indeed become detectable. I've had that happen a few times with my wifi camera - it has a few blips here and there and events are always created for that (though I created a filter that kills those notifications). Hello McFuzz, Always nice to know that ...

Re: delete events automatically
Hello, I want to delete old events automatically, I tried the PurgeWhenFull filter and when the disk is at % doesn' work or it seems because the disk usage will not change, but this also happens when i delete events from the windows "events" , from the windows "monitor" it works...

Re: "Signal lost" doesn't create an "event"-major security i
zoneminder records video. If the signal has been lost then there is no video to record so no event is generated. Your best option is to install some monitoring software such as Nagios. This will monitor any number of IP cameras and alert you if/when the network loses contact with them. I'm sorry to...

Re: BLUE SCREEN PROBLEM
I'm a bit confused: what does /dev/video* have to do with IP cameras on a zoneminder server? I am sorry, I didn't get that youll have IP-cams installed. But I think that something is wrong with you ZoneMinder settings because "Blue Mute" means that the videostream is not recognized. Kind ...

Re: Running filter on cron
Hello McFuss,
I have added a screenshot, to show you how this must be done.
Just play with the setting and try "submit" (without the marked delete box) to know if you have the required settings.
Goodluck and regards, Christo

Re: BLUE SCREEN PROBLEM
I have setup zoneminder on ubuntu 12.04 server. Added three monitors to the system which are all trendnet 312W, 121w, and 410. The same thing happens when i click on any of them to see the live feed. It shows a blue screen with the timestamp in the corner counting the seconds, but the screen remain...

Re: Running filter on cron
On a slightly related note - do you happen to know how to setup a filter that will erase recordings after X amount days as opposed to when the disk reaches a certain percent? I have all my 'alarms' uploaded right away to my FTP server, but I don't see a need to have the events visible for more than...

Re: Trigger Zone Alarm after a few seconds of detection
Hello McFuzz, I think it's not that confusing!! A "Frame Overload" happens when for example passing 'carheadlights' trigger your detection zone(s) and cause a pixel disturbance larger than your detectionzone(s) settings. In these cases, you can use the "Overload Frame Ignore Count&quo...
