Re: Questions about Zoneminder
Is there away to set a schedule for PTZ and to stop the monitoring software from recording on scheduled movement. There was extensive discussion about this on git (stopping motion detection during PTZ). While the issue is marked as closed, I believe that the specific camera PTZ scripts must be modi...

Re: Arduino USB serial
I use a GPIO USB board ( numato ) to read a PIR motion detection through Guardline Security devices . These are quite reliable, very long life etc and seem to work well over as much as 200 feet. They have models which work up to a mile. I run a simple shell script to detect the PIR shunt (ie read th...

Are yall who are using montage running multiport? I am unable to get montage to work on either of my 2 ZM servers. Selecting montage just locks the browser, confirmed on both Chrome and FF. I can open all the monitors in separate livestream views, but montage kills the browser. How are you able to u...

Issue #3300
Was closed some time ago, but did not make it into latest 1.36.5 update. I just upgraded 1.36.4 to 1.36.5 and it put back the unchanged script.

Re: Apache error
Open the console, and hit "view source", look for the references, they are in graphics folder. <link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="graphics/favicon.ico"/> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="graphics/favicon.ico"/> I think the webroot has n...

What is "crf"?
New update from 1.32.something to 1.36.4, we are getting a popup that says: "encoder does not work well with out at least a value for crf. Please see the help" crf does not occur in the documentation according to the readthedocs search. I see where crf is a value in the encoder details of ...

1.36.4 ???
My OS software updater is showing an update to 1.36.4, but there seems to be no announcement here in the forum.

Re: Trouble with all my cameras with 1.36.4 from 1.32
I have most of them set to port 80, but I've tried your suggestion with no success. I would be looking at a network issue. I have setup 4 different servers on various versions of ZM and various versions of Ubuntu and lotsa different Amcrest cameras and this has worked on all of them. Can you ping t...

Re: Trouble with all my cameras with 1.36.4 from 1.32
I have a bunch of Amcrest, can't speak from experience about the others. All my Amcrest are working nicely (with some PTZ issues, but that's unrelated here). My "source" lines in my Amcrest monitors all look like: rtsp://login:password@cameraIP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 P...

Re: Unstable Zoneminder
I think you have a configuration problem. I have very similar CPU supporting 8 cameras, and the CPU utilization is staying well below 25%. I have another system hosting 6 camera, I3 CPU, and its running around 50% CPU. Try cranking the camera FPS down - do this in the camera itself, not in ZM - and ...
