Re: Upgrade from 1.30.4
Here ya go! Debian 9 with Zoneminder 1.32.2 fresh install: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_9_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.30.4_the_Easy_Way#Debian_9_with_Zoneminder_1.32.2_from_the_Experimental_Repro Thanks. Recently, I had installed Devuan Ascii which is 9, and managed to install a fresh ZM 1.32.2 ...

Re: Storage resources not listed properly
I had this happen to myself, early on in 1.32 testing. Here's what I did: First off, Default is listed in the storage spaces. So, I deleted that, then I made myself a new Default, with an external HDD. Come back to the main screen, and there are two Defaults listed... I simply deleted the new defaul...

Re: Does ZM 1.30.x use hardware acceleration?
Have any one succeeded to manage video stream on zm through ffmpeg with hardware acceleration to offload cpu? If by video stream, you mean record, and by ffmpeg you mean source type: ffmpeg then yes. With 1.31 or 1.32 and an RPI. See the post here: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&a...

I added the cgi rtsp guide to the archive, in case the original link dies.

Re: capturing fails, zoneminder does not restart zmc
This appears to be a foscam only problem. Possibly setting the camera to modect or nodect is better than record, or mocord. Thinking about this again, perhaps setting a call to the API in the zmdc.pl will be a better approach than an external script. All you want to do is restart the camera. Either ...

Re: NVT Camera
Not able to help anymore than what has already been discussed here and in the other post, but you should not be setting maximum FPS rates for ffmpeg. Your options are as I see it: Debug ZM reading feed Contact vendor that sells camera Or some other reverse engineering as mentioned in finding camera ...

Re: NVT Camera
Can you view the camera in VLC? Blue screen often means the resolution is incorrect. VLC will indicate the resolution. If you are trying to view the camera on a resource constrained computer (beaglebone, rpi), try a lower resolution that is 1/2 or less proportional to the original one. E.g. instead ...

Alarm Mode - Use Static JPG and ZMTrigger as alarm only
Here's a question: "How do you connect a motion sensor to Zoneminder without using a camera?". Let's say you have a door or a window you want to monitor. The answer is simple - use a camera with a static JPEG in file mode, and then set the mode to nodect. When you wire up the alarm, you us...

Re: Reolink Argus 2 to ZoneMinder Configuration
Those paths are for the RLC-410. There is another path worth trying here: ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=Reolink But, on second thought, I see that there is this page which says that this path works for all cameras except battery powered devices like the Argus: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/artic...

Re: Zoneminder won't stay connected to camera
From my experience with Zmodopipe, I found that it was easier to use a Video encoder for analog streams. See https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Hardware_co ... eo_Encoder
Used devices are available for <$100.

Re: Email Alarms not working. Log says 'Broken Pipe'. Where to look?
See: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/How_to_get_ssmtp_working_with_Zoneminder https://wiki.zoneminder.com/SMS_Notifications I've had filters break on me, because I forgot to click the checkbox for email results. Even though it appears checked, it needs to actually be checked again, when editing filters,...

Re: Raspberry PI - non typical role
There are two processes that run on cameras in ZM (someone correct me if I'm wrong). There are zmc and zma for each monitor. In order for both of these processes to be off, you must make two changes to a monitor - it must be disabled (checkbox) and it must be set to "none" mode. So there a...

Re: Request for help: External trigger
What is the easiest way to trigger (zmtrigger.pl, right?) Zoneminder with a simple open/closed circuit connection? Connect relay or alarm to computer. Have computer telnet to ZM Server and send the necessary packet when alarm is set off. A bash script should be enough. There's some instructions at ...
