I'm having trouble getting my pipe key to work on my keyboard layout too so I can't grep very well. Here is the ouput of dmesg: bttv0: unloading bttv: driver version 0.9.16 loaded bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:...

I'm not sure which log file to look at? /var/log/messages has tons of stuff about /dev/video0, but it's pretty big. Interestingly, I changed my Format to PAL and it gets an image. The image has one thick black line through part of it but other than that, it's working. I know that on my other system ...

The format is NTSC and palette is RGB24, which are the settings that work when the same system is booted into Ubuntu. I can try the config file approach, but it looks like it is loading the correct card as 171, which is the same as when booted into Ubuntu.

Can't get camera image

I've run through your install and everything went very smoothly, but when I try to create a new monitor, I can't get a camera image. I just get a broken image. It appears that ffmpeg in not installed through the .deb package. Is this a problem? root@system-t:~# ls -l /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg ls: /usr/l...

I wonder if anyone is willing to try recompiling with this change so I can test out a better approach to audio alerts. I have something that works pretty well and has the potential to record audio when an event starts/stops too, but I'm not sure it's the best way to go about it. The script is here: http://74.0.48.238/zm/monitor_logs.txt It requires that "Festival" voice generating software be installed but...

OK.

So then if there is no difference except for the way apache handles this with it set to use nph and there are significant memory leaks... is this not a problem with apache?
