Different zone settings for day and night?

I see people mentioning using different Zone settings for day and night. I have dug through the settings, and cant figure out how they are doing it. I have to set my cameras to be ultra-sensitive at night, mainly because they are cheap $50 cameras, and dont capture much otherwise. However, in the da...

It seems like I get this same thing happen if I try to set the resolution to the camera to high. Try going into Zoneminder on each camera settings, and setting the resolution to around 320x240 and see if it makes a difference.
I also have the same 4-port card you do, by the way.

The repo version is way out of date. Get the latest from Peter's website. Is it possible to install ZM on Ubuntu 8.04 using the "apt-get" command? When I try to install using that, I assume it is looking in the old repos and wants to install 1.22.3. How do I update the repos or use a new ...

I did restart zm each time I made a change.

I read through that documentation, and that is what I am having a hard time grasping. The documentation could really use some examples with the likely results.

I will just keep tinkering with it to see if I can get it.

Trying to upgrade from 1.22.3 to 1.23.1 and getting errors

I am trying to follow the upgrade documentation in the Wiki. Using Ubuntu 7.10. Here are the commands I am running and the output. Can anyone shed any light on this? user19@ubucctv:/usr/bin$ sudo zmupdate.pl --version=1.22.3 --user=zmuser --pass=zmpass Update agent starting at 08/02/15 21:46:38 Init...

Sensitivity explanations in simpler terms

I have read through the documentation explaining how Zones work, and how to increase sensitivity, but I am just not getting it. No matter what I do to the settings, I have 2 cameras that will only pick up motion when there is a LOT of motion, or a very slight lighting change. Both of these cameras a...

It is. It does. It is being worked on. The problem is ssl, and how it is not totally gnu blessed... They are moving the code to a gnu blessed encryption, but it is not totally right yet. Does the hash authentication work under any of the distros? I have ZM running on an Ubuntu installation, and thi...

Reading a little more would have told you the fix for the debian package. Set it to plain, and restart ZM. Close and restart your browser. I do remember seeing something about that, but thought it was a compromised work-around which included sending passwords in "clear text". I will go ba...

I have exactly the same problem, the only difference is that I am running Mandriva 2008 with Zoneminder 1.23. If I turn authentication on, I don't get any stream, if I turn it off, I get fine stream. I found a thread on it which says that installing the libssl-dev package fixes the problem, but tha...

No streaming when authentication enabled....

I am running 1.22.3 on Ubuntu 7.10. I have read through the archives and saw that when authentication is enabled, streaming stops working. Turn it on, it stops working, turn it off, it works. I saw that this is because of the libssl-dev package missing. I went back into Ubuntu and ran "apt-get ...
