Re: mysql Unable to connect to ZM db

@rockedge, thanks for the clarification. So something is amiss, or I've just become a complete moron.... Not sure why the zm database isn't getting created. I'm in a PVE Container. Might that have anything to do with it? There is no zm database in MariaDB. Is there a command I can do to manually cre...

Re: mysql Unable to connect to ZM db

Thank God! I thought I was going crazy last night.... Trying to build a new ZM 4 times from scratch. (I'm a glutton for punishment) Question though, I used this link for install instructions: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_16.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.30.4_the_easy_way Both the install ...

Re: Preclusive zone problem

Preclusive zones work. You have to set their sensitivity in the preclusive zone low enough to trigger at least at the same time as, but preferrably before, the active zone is triggered. One warning though, specific to your scene, make sure the location of the preclusive zone is not located somewhere...

Re: Error parsing date/time - Filter issues

efforting... stand by.... Sorry it took so long, had to learn how to use MySQL.... :/ There are two filters in this table, the 21 day filter throws the error, the 18 day filter works. FiltersTable.txt Also noticed, while testing that filter changes do not take effect until zm is restarted. Not sure ...

Re: Error parsing date/time - Filter issues

@miikb's suggestion works and is nicely "readable"; I'll probably stick with that.

But get this....
I removed the space between the quantity and the type and it's working as well.
"Date/Time" "Less than or equal to" "-21day"

Thanks all for the help.
Solved!

Re: Error parsing date/time - Filter issues

Positive logic like so:

Screenshot at 2017-07-31 09-34-34.png (27.55 KiB) Viewed 3842 times
Submit returns no results and when allowed to run in the background (even though submit failed to return results) the log file shows no error.

Maybe I've stumbled across something... ???

Re: Linked Monitors - bandwidth

I'm not quit sure what VPS is, but in context sounds like a clouded server running ZM. That assumed, the answer is No. The none programmers answer goes as follows; the logic that allows the main stream to be recorded at the same point that motion was detected in the sub stream requires that both str...

Re: Zoneminder produces corrupted images

I've futz'd with web cams a few times. They will work...
You'll need to install uvcdynctrl to set the configuration of the USB cam, then match the config in ZM.

Re: PTZ Control for LTS Security Cameras

After following the instructions here for Hikvision, https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?t=25442 I had to remove the port "88" from the Control Path field. Then it all started working. It takes some time to tweak the control setting to make the camera usable and not lurchy.. You mi...

User Rights - Force Alarm

Suggestion for a change. I'd like to setup user accounts for "staff" to monitor and report activity they see on their assigned monitors. The Force Alarm action is a great way to allow these casual users to force a recording of the activity they are watching on a given monitor. However thes...
