This is a lot easier than you would think (and it works), do this: - Press the Filters button in the bottom left of the main screen - In the new window do 'Date/Time' _ 'Less Than' _ '-10 day' (note the - minus - sign before the 10) - Do the plus sign - and then: 'Archive Status' _ 'Equal to' _ 'Una...

Interlacing is a problem indeed. You can however set your monitors to half PAL (384x288) instead of half NTSC (320x240).

Remember to restart Zoneminder after changing resolutions.

This should work. You can try is by entering the address of a zoneminder monitor on a second zoneminder installation.

Great idea! We also have ZoneMinder running at our office since July 2007 without problems! We started with one simple camera, we now have 6 professional cameras, all pointed at entry points and the parking lot. We would never have gotten into this without Zoneminder. It is very handy for all kinds ...

Working on this, in dutch though which many, many people speak all over the world.... It is aimed at ZoneMinder users who need to view events and live streams. Also some admin controls info will be added. It is written in ODT. After I finish the Dutch version I will translate it to English. As soon ...

Zoneminder vs Hardware Recorders (They DO do full PAL/NTSC)

Some thoughts: We were pretty pleased with our ZoneMinder setup (will still are) but after seeing a Samsung DVR system in full operation we have some doubts... As we see it ZoneMinder can do anything as long as you have the correct hardware, no recorder system can beat that. But whatever you do the ...

It seems to be working better now, apparently there is some sort of order in which cards are identified and loaded. Presumably by the location in the PCI bus. I now have this: cat /etc/modprobe.d/options alias char-major-81 bttv options bttv card=2,2,134,134,134,134 options bttv tuner=-1,-1,-1,-1,-1...

What typ of cameras are connected? Analog or digital?

If the cameras are analog you could split the signal and feed these into a PC with a capture card and running ZoneMinder.

If this is what you want at least...

Multiple ZoneMinder servers & WiFi bridges

We are planning a large installation for a site. This site is about 700 by 400 meters large and has numerious locations where cameras are needed, also there are three main buildings where the server can be located, the three buildings are scattered around the site. Our plan is to set up a complete Z...

Two really (really) old BT848 cards, from something like 1997 I think they where originally from an old make called Flyvideo. And a Ad-Link 4 chip BT878 card: http://www.adlinktech.com/PD/web/PD_detail.php?pid=247 Contents of /etc/modprobe.d/options: alias char-major-81 bttv options bttv card=77,134...

xlib_shm crash (segfault) [Solved]

We are using the xlib_shm script on our Zoneminder installation. It works great, but after some days sometimes xlib_shm crashes and the LCD shows the GDM login instead of the cameras. I found this in /var/log/messages: Jan 13 07:17:51 jupiter zma_m11[8309]: INF [ParkeerPlaats1: 2402527 - Creating ne...

I also use 384 x 288 to avoid interlacing. I based this on the max PAL resolution I could find, if found more than one. The max PAL I found is x2 the ones you and I use: 768 x 576 Be sure to reboot Zoneminder after changing resolutions! I did not know that at first. Also if you have more than one mo...
