Next 3 months. Is something coming? Supposedly milestone can handle it. Version 2 of our Linux (Ubuntu) software will be able to handle this without any problems, but it's not scheduled for release until late June / July. Exacq has a Ubuntu version, but their licenses are $150 per channel. Mileston...

Re: can Zoneminder handle 9 megapixel Axis cams?

Can Zoneminder handle 9 Axis209MFD megapixel cameras? 1280x1024 is their native resolution! They output mjpeg and mpeg4. http://www.axis.com/files/datasheet/ds_209fd_mfd_37723_en_0912_lo.pdf My zoneminder machine will be a dedicated Apple Mac Pro "server" with 2 quad core 2.0 ghz cpu. Thi...

I started looking into that some time back and don't remember why I didn't pursue it.
We have our it's-old-and-needs-a-revamp ISO image there. I setup an account for you and PM'ed you the details.

I have used telnet to connect to the Axis camera but upon attempting to create the directory, it states:

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Most likely the hard drive has errors and was mounted as read only. You need to fix this problem fix.

There's only about one thousand posts about this. Why don't you read the WIKi / FAQ? This is the number one Zoneminder issue.

This was TrendNEt's first reply: Dear Customer, The TV-IP 512 camera has a IR sensor built into the camera allowing you use the camera with IR lighting. This however, does change the coloration of the image. I then sent them images from other IR cameras that depict colors correctly, that was 5 days...

The PV- series are software compression which use the BT878a chipset, so no they will not do deinterlacing. The only cards that will do deinterlacing _have_ to be used with our software:

Did you check this link??? http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15501 2. Are there video capture cards that would incorporate deinterlacing? Or is it physically impossible? Hardware compression cards typically have a method to do deinterlacing on the fly (Atleast our cards do). However,...

Re: Having problems with Axis 211-A

I'm going to replace the DC Iris. If that's not it, Ill return it to Axis. But get this, they said because it sat in the box on the shelf for so long, its possible for things to go bad. That's funny. Thought I bought a camera, not a dozen eggs. We actually used Acti instead when we were looking for...

Re: Intellinet IDATA NBC30-IR (550932)

Intellinet cameras are really over priced and their support is sub-par, but they will work with Zoneminder.

Re: Having problems with Axis 211-A

Bought this camera( Axis 211-A) for over $600 a year or so ago. Never really used it. Been in box for 95% of time. Just recently plugged in, used it with my ZM as IP camera, and camera did not last more than 3 weeks of 24/7 use. I can access the camera, but there is no video. Red broken link in ZM,...

Supporting 50+ cameras at 30FPS isn't a issue if the software is designed for it. Unfortunately Zoneminder is not, specifically because it takes 30 images every second from each camera (we are now up to 1500 images per second for 50 cameras) and then does (software) motion analysis. The most efficie...
