Re: Continuous record not working....

Do your log files have any errors in them? Continuous record is working fine on the system I am testing. The events folder is usually under your webroot. However, that really depends on what linux distro you are using, and how you installed zoneminder (from source or a package?). To find the events ...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

The spec file originally came from Fedora so I just went along with the basic framework in which they were doing things. Requiring Cambozola as a standalone rpm package was one of them. In hindsight, it sure seems like a lot of extra dependencies for just one file, so I made the following change. Th...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

While I was able to eliminate some of the X library dependencies by specifying the java requirement as "java-1.6.0-openjdk" rather than just "java", I was not able to eliminate them all. Consequently, I removed Cambozola as a dependency, since it was only needed for Internet Expl...

Re: ZM 1.25.0 Performance Patch - Completed

I wish to install the FFMPeg library etc is all this as difficult as it was ? or is it easier now ? Well, that depends on how you plan to do the installation. If you wish to make install from source the traditional way, the installation process is the same as it always has been. ffmpeg will always ...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

Tested the RPM on a fresh CentOS 6.4 x86-64 installation with just nfs, samba, ntpd and httpd installed: https://gist.github.com/mastertheknife/6363545 It pulls too many dependencies though. I definitely do not need libX11, mesa and gtk on my server box. mastertheknife Yeah, that's kind of annoying...

Thanks for the feedback. You helped identify a bug.

I've documented the issue here:

Re: Now hear this: Please test 1.26-beta.2!

The release notes say to use ffmpeg version N-55540-g93f4277. Try that. Not sure how I would get that specific version for Ubuntu 13.04. I just compiled from git, so I've got ffmpeg version git-2013-08-20-d9b0b54. For Ubuntu platforms, you also have the option of using Kyle's puppet module: https:/...

Re: Vilar mini domo cam (ip camera)

Looks like you are getting close. Please post your ptz control script. The only thing I can offer at this point are guesses... Verify the method you are sending credentials to the control script. For exmample, are you certain that you should place "user=admin&pwd=admin" into the Contro...

Re: Now hear this: Please test 1.26-beta.2!

Do you happen to have a configure script that might work for Fedora? I tried autoconf, automake, and autoreconf but none could create a usable configure. For example: -------------------------------- autoconf configure.ac:3: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE If this token and others...

Re: Now hear this: Please test 1.26-beta.2!

Thank you for a fantastic piece of software :-) I Have just compiled 1.26 beta2 on my Ubuntu 12.04. And upgraded my old 1.25 db to 1.26 without problems. But after the upgrade I can no longer watch live stream, or recorded streams in the web interface. I have no problem watching the recorded videos...

Re: Vilar mini domo cam (ip camera)

Once you made changes to PanasonicIP.pm, save it under a different name. Let's call it VilarIPC1002.pm Then change this line in VilarIPC1002.pm: package ZoneMinder::Control::PanasonicIP; to this: package ZoneMinder::Control::VilarIPC1002; Test you new control script by calling it directly from the c...

Re: Video hoses up after 14+ hours

I don't currently have any ffmpeg cameras so I can't say I've seen this issue. However, have either of you considered using the 1.26 beta? The beta includes mastertheknife's performance patch. In his thread, he mentioned fixing an image corruption issue. Don't know if it the same one you are experie...

Re: Events not being detected

Unless you are seeing errors in your event log, I'm sure you vm is running fine. What you need to do is adjust your motion settings as the default settings typically don't work as well as your system could perform. Every scene is different from another and will require different settings, which is w...

Re: Vilar mini domo cam (ip camera)

What you need to do next is write down the url for each function you want zoneminder to use. For example, it looks like the "tilt up" function should look like this: http://username:password@192.168.1.82/cgi-bin/action?action=cam_mv&diretion=cam_up&lang=eng Test this by pasting it ...
