Thank you very much deads for your time and detailed post, yipee I got it working. It was the @ symbol after index.php @ in one of your first posts that was my hangup. Yes I too have a lightly loaded system with only 4 analog bttv cameras turned down to run at 320X240 and 5fps until this issue is sorted. Ok as stated last night i am still getting the same ajax error or at least i think it is the same ajax error however i do not get -199 fps any more. hmm i am still getting the error and my montage still freezes on several cameras did the upgrade as suggested for ZMLarch. To tired will do more digging tommorow

Sorry i added your five lines to /etc/httpd/conf/extra/httpd-mobile.conf, and added an include line in /etc/httpd/conf/http.d. With your first config entries apache would restart, but with the new entry apache will not start up. Nothing is output to the apache_error apache_access or the rewrite.log ...

Using index.php?skin=mobile helps and gets me into the console however when i try to view a camera i get status idle = 5.15 fps which is good but instead of the picture i just get a big red X. RAM is always almost full on both my test systems on has 2GB one is 512MB. Not sure but this might be a linux thing i know once widoze grabs RAM for something it rarely give it back linux might be doing the same? Not a bad thing. bt just to let you know i have not been able to get this work correctly yet and still get errors. Could be a memory issue if I turn down res to 320 X 240 it takes alot longer to get errors and i get alot less too.

I have switched back to mjpeg and things seem to work better still just as broken but better than mpeg. Also sometimes i get a Could not connect to database: Too many connections error not often and it useally goes away on its own but maybe somehow related?
