Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
Thanks snake. https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/ it is, will look. As for jpeg pull vs ffmpeg/rtsp, they are quite different. 1) I have 15 cameras and more network bandwidth than CPU on my server. rtsp requires work to handle the compressed video, more work than jpegs 2) if my server gets overwhelmed, t...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
I enabled debug logging and found more stuff in /tmp/zm/zm_debug.log.28351 but nothing obviously wrong. Does it look helpful to you? zmc_m8[28351].DB1-zm_logger.cpp/251 [LogOpts: level=DB1/DB1, screen=OFF, database=OFF, logfile=DB1->/tmp/zm/zm_debug.log.28351, syslog=DB9] zmc_m8[28351].DB1-zm_utils....

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
For the wansview: try FFMPEG. I believe it will work with MJPEG/JPEG. Jpeg capture is like a basic feature that's been in ZM forever. How can it be broken? How can I debug the meager error messages it's giving me while processing those jpegs that are otherwise perfectly fine when retrieved in a bro...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
Thanks @snake, good call on the audio. I checked my RLC cameras, I made sure record audio is off, well, except that out.mp4 has audio anyway like you guessed. WTF? Looks like it adds audio in the stream even if it's not recorded by the camera (turned off in settings). For jpeg capture, which is my b...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
Can you confirm the streams are working in ffmpeg and/or VLC? Also see https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Finding_Camera_Stream_Paths VLC is from gui. FFMPEG is from terminal (ffmpeg -i "rtsp://<user>:<pass> etc..." output.mp4) Does onvif report the same paths? I've seen cameras change paths aft...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.32: Constant ZM_DIR_EVENTS already defined
Well, there are unfortunately plenty of other problems after the upgrade, still. I started a new thread for them:

broken debian upgrade to 1.30->1.32: multiple broken monitors
All my cameras were working with 1.30. Upgrading to 1.32 broke a lot of things, some of them were due to packaging issues. Now, all my cameras that use RSTP on some way, seem to fail, and in different ways. Of course, my settings worked perfectly fine with ZM 1.30: zmc_m17[11011]: WAR [zmc_m17] [Can...

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.32: Constant ZM_DIR_EVENTS already defined
Ok, my new problem is due to virtual hosts and zoneminder.conf not working in the right place in the overall apache config.
The same problem was described on viewtopic.php?t=27514
I fixed that manually.
Now, the interface looks ok.

Re: broken debian upgrade to 1.32: Constant ZM_DIR_EVENTS already defined
Were there any upgrade errors, or did apt/apt-get complete successfully? If you can't decipher the broken upgrade quickly, you can always apt-get purge and install again. Just backup the DB before reinstalling, and restore it after its up and running. Sometimes you have to run zmupdate.pl manually ...

broken debian upgrade to 1.32: Constant ZM_DIR_EVENTS already defined
After an upgrade from hell due to the php5 to php7 forced migration that broke so many things (sigh), I upgraded zoneminder too, since my old one worked with php5 and now I'm forced to have php7 in apache due to other packages. I'm now stuck at the zoneminder privacy accept screen, and accept loops ...

Re: mocord vs bulk frames, creates events of 1sec to 30mn+
Thanks Pedulla, I forgot where it was. Indeed that's what I was referring to.
This does not work with mocord and bulk frames either.
I get no pre-alarm frames in many cases (if not all) and my prevent image count is 25 (which I think is the default)

Re: Cannot see still images inside bulk frames
Thanks for finding my post https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?p=105498 So I guess we are both seeing the same problem, although mine is a lot worse (you are just not able to see frames that were never recorded to start with due to bulk frames) This is making ZM 100% useless for me. I've alr...
