Re: 1.28.108 API fatal error

Right but ZM 1.28.10x won't. A lot of changes have gone into new versions.
If you are building from source, please follow the new guides.

Re: How to verify the API's

It looks like the Database connection was not correctly updated in your case (The APIs need to be able to connect to the ZM DB). I can get you to fix it manually but I'd rather not - since it should be all handled within the repo like you suggested.

Let's wait for knnniggett to respond.

Re: zmNinja for desktops

Hi, where does the "OS not compatible" error come up? I am running it on a w7 machine right now and so are others who are testing it. So I can't really provide more input till you post more details. Which ZIP file did you download and are you running it on a desktop running W7 ? (not a tab...

Re: zmtrigger error

Not quite sure how you are accessing it - you need to provide more details of how you are connecting. Do this simple test: telnet <server IP where ZM is running> 6802 Now once you are connected, simply type in 1|show||||70 degrees And if you have put in a %Q in your timestamp for the monitor Id, you...

Re: Text Overlay from Arduino Serial....?

Ah! Nice find rockedge. I did not notice timestamp supported the %Q token. Good idea to use it with zmtrigger. Hello! maybe using zmTrigger.pl you can insert your overlay without having to change or add to much code. look here http://zoneminder.readthedocs.org/en/latest/userguide/definemonitor.html ...

Re: Restrict monitors to specific users

bbunge, that is correct - the current implementation of the API does not honor user roles. As long as you are logged in, you have full access to all monitors. This is a good feature to have and I'll investigate what it takes to modify the APIs. Once the APIs are modified, zmNinja will automatically ...

Re: Which point release is installed?

You have installed the latest stable version which is 1.28.1 1.28.108 is the latest development snapshot and is part of zoneminder-master branch of iconnors PPAs. You are on the zoneminder branch. Note that development snapshots are not fully tested and may contain bugs - which is why they are not r...

Re: zmNinja for desktops

Rockedge, I've edited the post above: Windows: Only windows 7 and above. XP is not supported Linux: Needs to be a distribution with a full UI stack - like Ubuntu Desktop, Fedora, CentOS etc --> seems like Puppy linux is a very optimized distribution and may not contain all the features needed by a s...

zmNinja for desktops

Hey folks, zmNinja (the cool mobile app for ZoneMinder) developed by my evil alter-ago (Dr. Pliable Pixels) has now broken free of mobile devices. It is now available on Desktops as well - windows (win 7 or above), linux as well as mac! For linux, it only supports regular desktop distributions which...

Re: New Real time Event Notification Service for ZM

Kenneth, Zoneminder updates an event the moment it occurs - it does not wait till the end. The real time event server also detects this and reports it right away - so its immediate. If you are referring to filters, I haven't looked at the code - but its somewhat unrelated to how the event server wor...

Re: ZoneMinder Documentation

The documentation however on this site as published has a lot of outdated/incomplete information. I've reworked the documents significantly - its currently in master branch at https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/tree/master/docs --> its formatted for sphinx (readthedocs) so it doesn't look that...
