Re: Configuring object detection - use of ZM zones
Yikes! Missed this comment in the file: # Parameters: # polygon areas where object detection will be done. # You can name them anything except the keywords defined in the optional # params below. You can put as many polygons as you want per [monitor-<mid>] # (see examples). OK, so that's covered. Bu...

Configuring object detection - use of ZM zones
[Is this even the proper forum for discussing issues related to object detection (and zmeventnotification)?] Just getting zmeventnotification set up with object detection. Questions pertain to obectconfig.ini. In the examples given within the file it shows "my_driveway_perimeter=306,356 1003,34...

Re: trying to get zmninja working
I believe that the answer is NO. BUT, if you happen to decide to use zmeventnotification you'll need to make sure that port 9000 is available.

Re: Upgrading OS and/or ZM Order?
^^^ I got pretty close to getting an OS and ZM upgrade to work, but there were errors that caused me grief. Ended up reinstalling from scratch. Yes, I know it's not what you WANT to do, I know that I certainly did not want to, but in the long run you'll feel better (lots of old atrifacts will be pur...

["resolved"]Re: API problems/errors
Going to say that this is resolved. That is, there is NO API issue. I still am logging socket errors every time I play back event videos. Videos will play, sometimes stopping and sometimes not; always, though, generates a socket error in the logs. Doesn't matter what UI I use. I'm going to just igno...

Re: Unable to play back HD events in web UI
OK... What UI? I just discovered that zmNinja on my Android phone is not capable of playing back ZM events (MPEGs) even though a similar phone with same OS level can*: I'm breaking down and buying a newer phone. On this same phone video playback works in a web browser from ZM console if I manually s...

Re: Unable to play back HD events in web UI
What happens if you disable the sub-stream, can you then view the main/HD stream? With shm at 80+% I'm thinking that you're really taxing things. What's your total capture rate (MB/s) look like? My system (NUC7i5) is running four cameras at 1280x720 set to MODECT (capturing as MPEG) and shm is 16% w...

Sometimes one really has to dig into all the various log files in order to figure out where an issue is really originating.

Re: Another API issue..
Upgraded my [G4] phone to 8.1.0. Same issue. Going to just switch to using my wife's old G4+: the G4+'s dimensions are different, which will require me to re-do my custom docking station in my car (in-dash, using magnetic interface; cable is positioned using plastic weld)- maximum effort. Sigh. The ...

Re: Download mp4 corrupted
Have you tried checking the source MPG file(s) ON the server? If they're corrupted there then you can see it as a possible ZM Issue, otherwise it could be a network issue.

Re: Using multiple streams from one camera (and record ONLY from one stream)
I think that it's possible by setting MODECT on the monitor of the low res stream and then disabling the saving of jpeg and video under the Storage tab/settings. Then link your high res stream Monitor (set to NODECT) to the low res stream monitor (which will have the necessary storage settings under...

Re: Help with mysql crash on Ubuntu running zoneminder
You have to identify WHY the database server isn't starting. Most probable reason is that databases are corrupted. If so then there's no reason to uninstall anything: rather, it's about wiping out the database and rebuilding with a backup. When I was planning for my ZM system I had a UPS budgeted in...

Re: Restore config
There's nothing built-in to ZM that offers any such function (I'm thinking that it might be nice to have it as many people have encountered cases that they'd just like to have such configs, not a full DB blob). In general: Can accomplish via command line sql statement to select everything from the n...

No idea what your web server is. But, in general (and this isn't for 1.34, but has, I think, relevance):

Re: Using multiple streams from one camera (and record ONLY from one stream)
I did more pondering on this and I think you're noting what popped into my head as being a potential problem. The MODECT stream is instructed to buffer frames before and after an event. If I use this stream to trigger the stream for HD recording I believe that I couldn't capture the lead-in and lead...
