OK been running a few days now log still has data from the 19th onwards when I manually cleared despite being set to "1 day". The logs are invaluable for debugging and setup, but cant afford them to grow indefinately, Any input appreciated.

I didnt not realize overload frame count meant what it meant. I have now reduced the overload frame count from 3 to 0 on camera m8 (the rest were at 0 already) shall see how that effects the logs.

could you set it to record for a while, then manually check the correct folder for the captured files and open a jpg (in gimp or something that isnt zoneminder) and see if its actually recording. if so it may be capturing fine but the web interface isnt able to access the images to display them. Carefull with that, its my understanding the tmpfs is mounted in ram, so you need to take into account how much ram the rest if the system needs, if you have 32gb of ram you may be cutting it fine if you have less than 30gb of ram your in for lots of swappyness.

There is an option for specifying filters with respect to disk blocks rather than percentage, see the linux command "df" to get in idea how blocks relate to capacity on your system ( it is dependent on file system and drive capacity)
