Re: lorex qlr460 (bt878) only channel 0 working
The video4linux wiki is where you should be searching. Though there might be something relevant on the zm wiki. https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page or https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Hardware_Compatibility_List#bt8x8_Cards One other final option is to use coax to ethernet moca converters. T...

Drop the PCI card and get one of these:

I happen to have a 4 channel one I'm not using. I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping. PM me if you are interested.

I'm not an expert with zmes yet, but post the output of sudo -u www-data /var/lib/zmeventnotification/bin/zm_detect.py --config /etc/zm/objectconfig.ini --eventid # --monitorid # --debug and that might give more information. Also check the config files as mentioned above by tsp. Just by looking at t...

Re: Memory creep when using NAS storage, can't find the issue
Are you using any hardware decoding? That seems to improve but not eliminate the problem. I thought if you are hardware decoding, you should be using more memory.I don't understand. But if it resolves the issue, then whatever works. I'm getting occasional short events, that look something like pict...

Re: (Noob in need please help)Chain camera streams from server to server?
Then i thought just "stream" encrypted footage through their ZoneMinder instances to my beefy server at my house which can then process and store it I know you can say "oh just port forward the RTSP streams" I dont trust the vendors to have access to my root LAN and i dont think...

Re: 50+ Camera setup, Struggling here
which I think might have been fixed by allowing PHP and Apache to have access to more ram in their respective php.ini files. Well, definitely check the apache and php logs. Might have to enable them. Between zm, php, and apache logs you will usually find some hint of what's broken. Although I shoul...

Re: 50+ Camera setup, Struggling here
I have a setup around 30 cameras. You will need powerful hardware. Are these 32 real cores, or virtual? Also, not to be rude but any API misconfigurations are on your end. The API is stable and works, although ZM does have a learning curve, admittedly. This is probably what you are running into. The...

Re: ZM Event Server & Ubuntu22.04
I just installed zmes on debian bullseye a week or so ago, and didn't have any trouble. zmes 6.1.28. opencv 4.7.0 python 3.9.2 Did you install opencv from source? Did you change the python script for yolo per: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?p=129104 That is required for opencv to work, ...

Just curious, What is the crontab check command you are running? This is an unusual use case, I'm just trying to understand what you are doing.

Re: Playback is too fast
Testing in ZM 1.36.33 different server. This occurs again under the following conditions. Camera is MJPEG (older axis). FFMPEG source. Encode to H264. Playback on MP4 fails. I see a js console DOM error which indicates it might be the browser permissions, but I think that's a red herring as the next...

Re: Can't add new zone
You can do a mysqldump and will find lines like: /*!50003 CREATE*/ /*!50017 DEFINER=`debian-sys-maint`@`localhost`*/ /*!50003 TRIGGER `event_insert_trigger` AFTER INSERT ON `Events` FOR EACH ROW BEGIN I solved it by substituting that user with the right zmuser for my environment, dropping the datab...

Re: new user top 7 questions
1) how can I force ZM to record with desired section length? I've set 500s minimum and 600s section length, but ZM records random lengths between 2 and 3 minutes. 3) Why my cameras randomly and frequently change to red with status 'not capturing' - I monitor them with zabbix, they response for ping...

Re: Old server vs newer PC
I would go with option 3 and linked monitors, or otherwise high res record / low res mocord. Don't try to run mocord or modect on the hi res streams, and you should be ok.
