Re: Zoneminder on Buster on RasPi 3B+
OK. /etc/zm/conf.d/01-system-paths.conf -> ZM_PATH_ZMS=/zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms changed " =/zm/" to "=/zoneminder/" that got me to being able to watch Monitor1 live and record. Then setting Cam.Storage to: SaveJpegs = Frames Only, Video Writer = Disabled. allows me to click on an even...

Repository of DB entries
I'm trying to get ZM working on a RasPi w cam. - but that's a aside - sort of... Google is a bit here, a bit there, some good, some bad and 26 different ways to install and 1200 different ways to configure a camera. What is needed is a ZM.com page where you select your OS, which will then offer a se...

Zoneminder on Buster on RasPi 3B+
Shiny new 3B+ running buster with a RasPi cam (lamp'ed). I've loaded Zoneminder and it's running - sort of...
It detects motion and takes one jpg image. I can watch the live monitor but can't display the detected. So far Google hasn't been my friend.
Help please

Using an old Android phone
A search didn't pull up anything, so... I have an old cell phone (android) and ran across an app "ip webcam" - it is asso. with Ivideon although I don't use it. I start up the app and connect to 192.168.0.xx:8080 in my browser and there is the hallway/kitchen/entry/etc - a small hunk of ca...

Re: Remote USB cam
Thought I'd pass this on as an aside: I've got the same 2 USB Star webcams on a RasPi B+ and and OrangePi Pc. With the above I get 1 fps from the RasPi and 9 fps from the OPi.

Zone setup vs Alarm numbers
Not quite sure how to phrase this ... I have a camera, I setup a zone and use say "Default" preset. Then later I get an alarm. I'm having problems (mental) with the numbers in the alarm spread sheet vs the number in the zone setup (min/max etc). Can someone give a simple how to? Total Scor...

Remote USB cam
Worked this out and thought I'd share. USB camera /dev/video0 on a RasPi outside on the garage. #!/bin/bash /usr/bin/mplayer tv:// -vo jpeg it outputs a numbered file, ie. 00005907.jpg [908,909,910...] at a rate of 1/sec Aside: I've tried to get it to run faster - no joy... Then I added a second scr...

Re: Zoneminder on RasPi - Issues
I tried to run ZM on a RasPi B with the RasPiCam module. I came to the conclusion that a single core at 800mhz just isn't enough horsepower or the SW is lacking. So I switched from Raspberry to Orange. Aliexpress.com - orange pi pc. $15 + 3.51 ship Quad core @ 1.6 ghz (armv7l). Loaded Fedora 22. ZM ...

Re: Dropped frame causes event
Signal: Reacquired
Google: I've found posts saying do a filter - but isn't that after the fact. My mind says when I set up the zone and say ie: percent, pixels, min 3, max 75. That says????? if the pixel percent is 100% that the "event" should not happen. ??????
Thanks

Re: OrangePi camera Format
Not having an advanced degree in ZM I have to stumble around and do a lot of "Ahhh... Hmmmm... Ahhhh..". fswebcam and motion had no problem but ZM kept saying "Failed to set video format: Operation not permitted" (Huuu?... moment) Case: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171212844761?ru=htt...

Re: OrangePi camera Format
OK, I gave up on the OPI camera module ($5.95+ship) and from what I can see it would be OK for Skype... So I dug out a pair of Venus USB cameras and had them ZMing in about 3 minutes. I also connected a Axis 210. So I've got 3 cameras going and my load is running : 0.81, 0.66, 0.61. Which is pretty ...
