Funnily I think I have found the problem here.

I was still logged in as admin on the host computer in the cellar. Since I logged out of this the problem has come away.

Can this happen with 2 users logged in as admin at the same time (even though one is inactive) ?

Sorry for all the posts etc!

I now have a problem with Modect stopping after 30 secs on the 2nd channel. On the main console it starts ok initially at green, and if you look at the monito...

Well I set up 2 users, 1 as "admin", and one as "monitor".

How can I stop "monitor" being able to access and change zone settings?

Great, /zm gets me to it on my internal network.

Now my router supports dyndns so thats next. Is the default install from the live cd safe enough to open up in the "DMZ", or should I be making other adjustments?

Hi, Sorry more "NUBE" questions again. (I have read through the manual too!) I have my zoneminder now up and running from the excellent live cd (done full install). I am trying now to access the web interface from another PC; at the moment just on my internal network. I put in the IP addre...

OK, I was looking in the modprobe.d directory and not for the modprobe.conf file.

It would not let me save the altered file, though. Checked permissions. Logged in as root, now saved and I get a picture. Time for bed now. Will continue learning tommorow!

Hi, Please dont laugh at me  I am totally new to Linux and have installed the live cd 1.22 onto my old (now un-windowsed) pc. The install has gone ok. The video captured is corrupt. I tried the different presets, but still not got a true image. I have gone through the wiki etc and found that I...

I've been working on a Mandriva 2007.0 based CD and it's coming along. I may get it out in the next couple of weeks.
Any updates? :D

cheers mate! I will probably go with one of your cards anyway in the new year. can you advise on the pc spec? is there any need for the 120 fps with that pc spec. or are there other reasons why I would be better with the 120 over the 30?

oh, and a merry christmas to you!

I know, you are correct here! Will probably go with the bluecherry card, don't know whether my pc will cope with the 120 fps card. if I get the 30 is it 25 in PAL? can it cope with PAL? am I correct in assuming about 5 fps on 4 cameras? And the big question is could I stream out to my phone (t mobil...
