ZM does not show the 206W stream
Hi, Experimenting with an IP camera for the first time. I am using an Axis 206W (which by the way seems to use Linux - a good reason to choose Axis in the future as well ;-) ZM monitor window does not show any picture at all. I have tried all the possible configuration settings I can think of. I am ...

Installation problem: file has changed nag screen
Hello, I bumped into something that seems like a microsoftism or something of the kind. At least the error nag screen I get is so disinformative that it just has to be one  error message: Setup has detected that the file 'C:\DOCUME~1\Elias\LOCALS~1\Temp\VSD74.tmp\dotnetfx\WindowsInstaller-KB88...

Circumvent error by manually re-entering the repositories
Hello,
I am not sure anymore that the problem has to do with the curl problem I kept wrestling with before.
I got rid of the problem by re-entering the rpm repositories again manually. Might as well be that the original repositories are really temporarily messed up.

The gui package manager (rpmdrake) will ask if you want to install anyway. Yes, it does, but that fails too with a curl -9 error... I remember bouncing into this problem with Mandrake about 1 year ago. I managed to solve the problem somehow but unfortunately I do not remember how. Soon after the ha...

The core question is minimizing the data being transferred
Should have guessed James will react :-D Thank you, James! Well, I guess I could do as well with 3 local servers accessible from the company network. Is there a way to put them on the same GUI? That might even be the most economical solution because in this case the bandwidth is really needed for ot...

Has a networked structure been done?
Hello, I am thinking about a system of approx. 30 cameras at three different locations, 10 in each place. The main server would be in one of these locations. Has anyone done a solution where there would be local "subservers" that would feed the data to the main mySQL server? This sounds li...

Any new instructions or advice on translating?
Hello,
I am about to start making a translation into Finnish. Is there anything new about it? Is it enough to translate the text strings in zm_lang_en_gb.php?
Are there any demos online with PTZ cams? It would be easier to make an understandable translation if it would be possible to see the GUI.

I guess I'd better upgrade the distro...
Hi,
Thank you for your advice. I ended into dependency problems. Missing perl modules. Perl-x10 for example. I think it will be easier to upgrade the whole OS and use then Ross's RPM's for upgrade?

Upgrading from 1.19.5 to 1.2x.x - where are DB rules
Hello, I am trying to upgrade ZM from 1.19.5 to the latest version, currently being 1.21.4 When executing zmupdate.pl it says "Can't find an upgrade from version 1.19.5." This means that nothing is done to the database. Have I understood something wrong here? Should I get a new zmupdate.pl...
