I do this using some scripts that I wrote. The zmctrl script is used to set zone parameters. The dosunrise script is an example of a cron script to use along with the sunrise script to schedule zone parameter changes.

I've just started seeing this too. It's not so frequent as to make it unusable, as some people were reporting before. I just notice that I find my session logged out after I've been away from my desk for "a while". I'm turning on debug for web_php, so I'll see if anything turns up.

I'm using Zoneminder 1.32.2 from the Ubuntu master PPA and I recently bought a Hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW. It has audio input and the audio is working perfectly with Zoneminder. I kind of like it, but I don't understand it. Is there an explanation somewhere of what it is doing? I don't understand how it chooses events and how it chooses what to display for those events. I don't understand what the blue blob sliders are for and I don't understand what the red graphs represent.

SSL isn't really the problem. I can get to the setting where you enter manufacturer, username and password, and then I can't go any further. It correctly detects Zoneminder.

I've never been able to get past the initial configuration for Surveillance Pro to work with Zoneminder. An I being dense or is there some trick to it?

I'll join in on the chorus. I can't get it to work either. I get to 2/3 in the settings. It correctly detects Zoneminder (no SSL, grumble), but when I enter the username and password and press "send", nothing happens.

I signed up for the Android beta, but I don't know if I ever got the update. How would I know if I were using the beta version?

I think that this is a great idea. Having a framework that would easily allow the integration of future OpenCV-based features would be a big step up for the ZoneMinder platform. I've contributed to the bounty.

This is interesting, and thank you for doing it, but I had trouble getting it working. I also have a RLC-411WS and would at least like to control the zoom. I was able to use your script, but it didn't quite act as I expected. Whenever I zoomed, it would zoom to completion in the direction I was zoom...
