I just want to announce that i was able to capture video out of a Vivotek IP8362, using the HTTP method. Also i was able to test simple alarm cases. It was not straight forward, i had the same things happening on my ubuntu laptop as well, and guess what, still no image in the ubuntu zoneminder 1.26 ...

Anyway, since traditional analog cameras are dying and become a retro thing of the pas, and since nowadays one can find cheap WIFI/net security cameras, i think FreeBSD will be back

seems that the local camera code was heavily overhauled in 1.24, from 1.23
Do not know what to do, try to compile the old 1.23.3 port (still lives in my ports tree) or just try and see what i can do with this current port 1.24.4
