Zoneminder keeps going into "Stopped" state
Hi all, Have a fresh Zoneminder 1.29.0 install on Mint 17.3 XFCE Installed from PPAs (iconner master) Have come across this about four times now, logging into Zoneminder web page and finding the status as "Stopped": http://i.imgur.com/1S10hGi.png After the last occurence, I turned on loggi...

Re: Zone images missing
Zoneminder may not have access to the folder, I had the same red x issue and this was my problem. Try: sudo chmod 777 -R -v /usr/share/src/zm/images Disclaimer, 777 is full access and may not be the most secure way of doing things -R is recursive, it will apply the permissions to everything below th...

Re: debian wheezy upgrade fails > mysql assumed permission
I tried this also (following your post, I didn't realise I could get ZM 1:25.0 in any repositories, thought I would have to build from source?! I'm running ubuntu), it looks like the mysql DB upgrade is ran as zmuser. But I checked this user out in phpmyadmin and it didn't have enough permissions to...

Re: Where to set path for saved recordings?
Purgewhenfull - http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/FAQ#How_can_I_stop_ZoneMinder_filling_up_my_disk.3F To change the paths, well I used symlinks from to the original locations, I think there was a reason for this. But there is a "paths" tab on zoneminder options where you can edit th...

Best way to upgrade from 1.24.2 - Ubuntu packages 10.04 LTS
Hi all, I am wanting to upgrade to the latest version of Zoneminder. When I first installed Zoneminder, I did it from the package manager in Ubuntu, so as these are no longer updated (or maybe only with a later Ubuntu release?) I guess I need to go over to updating from source. What is the best way ...

Re: Camera image gone un-viewable, are my cameras just rubbi
hmm, working OK here, stuck it on the sight you suggested too http://imgur.com/C5DTF Quite a cool site actually, one for the favs! Thanks for the info Keith, that would explain things. They were billed as outdoor cameras, but cheap China made ones off eBay, so maybe not of the best design! I think I...

Camera image gone un-viewable, are my cameras just rubbish?

Thanks for your reply, don't think I have described this properly though. Zoneminder starts, but it starts stopped, if that makes sense. It starts as much as I can access the web interface of it, but capture is not started until I start it manually. I tried looking in the logs as to what happens whe...

Startup Zoneminder State Always Stopped
Hey all, Zoneminder system has been up and running nicely for a while now, just one question. Whenever the system is rebooted, due to a powercut or scheduled maintenance etc, zoneminder is always "Stopped" when the system reboots. It would seem normal for it to be started when the system b...

No video after changing web port from 80
Hey all, Changed the web port of apache on my zoneminder machine a couple of days ago, all worked as expected and it is now viewable from the new port. One thing I did not try until today, is viewing cameras or recorded images. Non of which works now the machine is on a different port?! Does anyone ...

from my limited knowledge, this is called interlacing, one full frame is made up from every 2 frames, so only alternate lines are captured every frame. Any movement during this process causes interlacing and the effect you are seeing. This is a limitation of PAL/NTSC PAL resolution is 720x576, so yo...
