I am using Fedora 20
I looked in /var/logs/ and the only thing I see is /var/logs/zoneminder, which as far as I can see is empty.
So where are the log files?

On localhost/zm/index.php on the right hand side is a link to "log" which leads to localhost/zm/index.php?view=log which shows other assorted problems.
Do you see any errors there?

I'm beginning to suspect that the camera settings are not the whole problem.

yum install zoneminder

I just tried to install zoneminder-1.27.0-1.fc20.src.rpm from knnniggett
It said the software that was trying to be installed is not compatible with this system.

I would reinstall because it sounds a lot simpler than trying to figure out what is wrong. If I don't reinstall, what would be the next step? Do I have to uninstall zoneminder? If so how do I do that?
