Re: date format problem
As one of the core developers, let me say that I agree that ZoneMinder should fully respect and be configurable to display dates and times in whatever format the user requires. However there is a lot of work to do and I don't know when I will get to it. I will be very happy to review and help with ...

Re: date format problem
With all respect mikb: Do not mix computer stored data and data presented to humans by computers. I agree, that date stored in computers must be YYYYMMDD. This is understandable for a reasons you wrote. But data presented to humans is another story. There are many nations on the world with different...

date format problem
This is more than a decade old problem: In Zoneminder the date format is fixed to YYYMMDD in a logs and events listing. There is no way to change it to locale f.i. DDMMYYYY. Take look here: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=27534&p=107165&hilit=setlocale#p108583 And no o...

Re: day/night IP bandwidth load
Dealt with now, to get someone to look at servers Do not quite understand that. What do you mean by that? As I understand cameras by now, the problem is huge noise rise, when camera switch from color to B/W and turn on IR illumination at dark. Then all depends on camera quality, how successfully it...

Re: packing ZM-1.33.x for a Slackware
This case is closed. Obviously I discovered a bug  that was solved today by iconnor: BIG thanks! :D :D https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/commit/604dbf87769a9f214e9bf59d7bf29a87ac421cbf Wondering why nobody of developers reply to that topic. Maybe like "it's a bug we work on i...

Re: empty memory map file size 0
Please take a look at my post from, 18th January: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=27977 GIT compiled/installed ZM worked until 6th January, then failed. Some ZM changes introduced? - new compile options, new variables... Please answer the questions I posted in above post. Stra...

packing ZM-1.33.x for a Slackware
Hi! I'm testing/using a ZM on a Slackware Linux. Everything working fine until ZM GIT source somewhere after 6. 1. 2019. ZM-GIT compiled after that day the application do not work - can not start Zoneminder from GUI (Run State change). In a logs is a line: Got empty memory map file size 0, is the zm...

date format unified across all GUI
Please correct date format nonsense across GUI. On my two years working ZM-1.30.0 and new designed GUI in ZM-1.32.3 and also current GIT the date display is the same. The only possible date format set is in a monitor configuration, there I set it up to my preference (Europe format). ZM - live.png 2....

Re: Event time format in feed view
This cosmetic issue had a very long history (probably from ZM version 0.0.1). But for no american users it is VERY annoying.  I'm European and correct date format is 20.12.2018 for today But nobody pay attention and try to solve it by adding a variable Date_format in a zoneminder configur...

Re: ZM hardware video accelerated
Hardware video acceleration on ZoneMinder (zoneminder as of >= 1.32.2): The answer from developers: Video manipulation is controlled by ffmpeg. So the answer is: if ffmpeg is compiled with HW acceleration in my distribution then zoneminder is HW accelerated :D else zoneminder is NOT HW accelerated :...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough
russell_i_brown you are a genious! Thank you so much. The exact one I need, with a small change. I would like to low resolution stream in "modect" trigger event recording by high stream (h264 passthrough) in "none" mode. Would you be so nice to change your script to do the above?...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough
H! post: skidd » Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:48 pm This should be the right feature of Zoneminder. Was also surprised, it's not. All modern IP cameras stream at least two streams with a reason. The most logical use of them is to minimize CPU and GPU usage by this scenario, I also use: 1. Low res (VGA) stream...
