Yes, allowing personal preference is ideal, however I do like your choice of default.

It works on Fedora 8 just fine too. The only problem I ran into was when I tried to start the ZM service, I got a failed, saying it was unable to find the libavformat.so library. I added a new .conf file in /etc/ld.so.conf.d with the path /usr/local/lib in it which fixed the problem.

The buttons appear to "not work" when a window has already been opened by them. Such as not being able to open a new "Add New Monitor" window if one is currently already open. Maybe put some JScript in that will bring the currently-opened window to the forefront? (currently, it j...

I didn't get a chance to check the DB. I rebuilt the system on Fedora 8 and put RC1 (now 2) on it.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Bugfix: Timestamp label format

The default Timestamp -> Timestamp Label Format for new monitors is still using the old 1.22.3- style. The fix: in zm_html_view_monitor.php, on line 70: (may vary depending if you mod your code) Change the line from this: $monitor['LabelFormat'] = '%%s - %y/%m/%d %H:%M:%S'; To this: $monitor['LabelF...

ZMS crashes when trying to view events

I just noticed a problem with my event history. Around event 246107 on Oct 24 (which, for complete diagnostic information, happens to be around the time my system had to be recovered from a max folders in a folder issue that 1.23.x thankfully will fix), the event naming changes from the standard Eve...

3) And as i have band width limitations i don't want to access all cams at a time so i want them to switch in round robin fassion.
You could set up event triggers for this to disable/enable cameras on a timed interval or at set times of the day.

A RAID5 wouldn't throw off "purge when full" and removes the multiple points of failure. Linux also tries to set up a LVM if you have multiple drives anyway. As for setups, I'm running a pure IPcam serve at 14 monitors @ 102fps total. 5 of those are at 640x480 with 15fps and all are at 24-...

Unfortunately, the method being used (the uptime command) only displays days of uptime, unless you've been up for less than a day, then it gives hours (or minutes if up for less than an hour). If you want, you can pull the exact uptime (in seconds) from /proc/uptime and use that: if ( ($uptime = fil...

Hopefully I can help you out Robi. I was auto-banned when I tried to respond to your posting about 3 posts into it... :? Anyway, I noticed your zones are set too sensitive. http://horvark2.tvn.hu/kepek/zm4.png This outlines an event will trigger if the pixel threshold exceeds 16 for 9 or more pixels...

You could tag areas that "do not move from frame to frame" as Inclusive zones and use Active zone(s) in the area that you would normally see real motion. That way a lighting change on a pillar would only cause an event if there was also an event triggered by at least 1 one Active zone.

Check out http://www.networkipcamera.com/files/550710_CGI_command_reference_fw_411.pdf for specifics, but the digest version is: http://<camera_ip>/jpg/image.jpg The couple that I have seem to be pretty picky on image resolution, only picking up in 320x240 mode and not in 640x480. Not sure why yet. ...
