And he/she put the spam back since you undid them. I started to undo them but got distracted.

Spam edits on the wiki.

The user kristof seems to post nothing but spam links on pages in the wiki. Couldn't his account get disabled so at least slow down the spamming?

Re: some Grandstream IP camera not show

I have 5 Grandstream IP cameras, all are set up for a lowdef and a hidef feed. On a Core I7, 3.4GHz, 16GB memory setup I have no issues so far. My load average is usually around 1.5. If you tell us what hardware you're working with we might be able to have some better advice.

Re: How to show multiple camera in single windows?

I use camera groups to get what I think you're looking for. My cameras each have a HiDef and a LowDef feed. The lowdef feeds are set to modect, the hidef are set to monitor and link to the lowdef feed so I do motion detection on the lowdef feed and then record on both feeds when an event is triggere...

http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Grandstream

That page has the models I have with setup info. They are good cameras, I have no complaints so far.

Re: Budget friendly POE IR IP cameras? Suggestions?

Without knowing what you consider budget friendly I'd suggest looking at Grandstream. I've posted some info on the wiki. Bought mine through amazon at what seemed to be a good price.

Re: Smearing

Do you have the frame rate defined in the zoneminder definition? In the General tab look at "Maximum FPS" and "Alarm Maximum FPS". I accidentally set those to match one of my IP cam's and it caused smearing. Set the frame on the camera and leave them blank in the monitor definiti...

Re: Augmenting IR

http://www.dx.com/s/ir+illuminator Here you have some options.... Some interesting options there. I've sent email to the folks at www.superbrightleds.com to see if they've thought about doing a weatherproof IR LED strip. Not sure if I'll ever to around to this project but the possibility is interes...

Augmenting IR

Has anyone explored using IR LED's to augment the night vision that a lot of cameras have these days? I had a thought that if it would be useful, I might hunt for some LED strips/bars that are weatherproof, and install them at the distant end of a cameras LED range. Hook them up to a sensor so they'...

Re: IP Cam suggestions?

Bump. Anyone know of a camera with those specs? I have a Grandstream GXV3672-FHD36, it has a 3.6mm lens so the field of view is pretty good, about 77 degrees I think, but I'd like a camera with something more like 90 degrees FOV, or close to it at least.

Re: Mixed hardware

Thanks. Had to change the path slightly but I got it working. /cgi-bin/zm/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=1&user=[USER]&pass=[PASS] Still hoping that someone has a pointer to how to set up a video stream from a /dev/video0 type analog camera so zm can access it like it's an IP camera. Looking ...

Mixed hardware

I've got two zoneminder setups right now. My old rig is 3 analog cameras on a capture card I got from bluecherry. It's running SL6.5 and zm 1.27.0. Works great, no problems. The new rig is 6 IP cameras (two of them not yet installed or working). SL6.5 and zm 1.27.0. Again works great, no problems. I...

Re: Skin: Modern fork. Multi-camera playback, improved UI, e

Can't play with this right at the moment but I have a question. I have some HiDef cameras (1920x1080) that also have a lowdef stream (320x176). I do motion detection on the lowdef stream and any events get recorded by both streams. When I look at the montage the HiDef fills up the window and the low...

I'd be interested in that as well. The 2.8mm should make for a really wide angle field of view right?
