Hi Black,

Looking at the FoscamFI8908W.pm file form the Wiki, command=31 is not even in there. It ends at 25. It shouldn't be too hard to add, but I can't tell how it's supposed to be added.

That said, I can't get any of the other movements to work either.

Got it. Changed to 7 days after I started wondering why I thought I needed 30. Still need to tweak the sensitivity to reduce some of this, but that's a different thread and I think I got the info I need. Just need to spend some time on it.

ok, now that I understand what filters are and how they work, I have one more question. When I set the filter to Date and less than, do I put in "30" or do I put in "30 days", "30d"?

That looks to be exactly what I'm looking for, very helpful. I didn't think I needed to use "filters" for anything so I was sorta skipping right over it. I gotta figure out this verbiage!

I tried to search the forum for this, but had no luck. Is there a way to configure zm to auto delete events and images older than 30 days?

Awesome, I think I got it. Walked out to my car and it recorded this time. My next question is probably not as big of a deal. Oh, ok. I appreciate that info. I'm not worried about server resources as I can always add more if needed. This server is a virtual machine and I have plenty of capacity to beef it up if necessary. I will try out your suggestions. again - much appreciated!

Reading that, but am a little confused. If I add a zone, it seems to effect the first zone as well. Then if I add another, I can't change anything. I can move the dots around, but the green/red doesn't change. I just walked out to my car, and even with the highest sensitivity on and the whole image ...

Sorry if I am posting too much. I figured out how to increase the sensitivity just now so I'll see if that does what I need. Any tips at all in any area would be welcome! I will search the forum now and see what I can learn.

Right now we are testing out zoneminder and have just one camera watching our parking lot. I am finding that unless someone is RIGHT in front of the camera, it is only recording when cars pull in, but not recording people getting an and out of the vehicle.
