check to see that the new instance of mysql has the user "zmuser" and the password defined. It appears that ZM is attempting to connect to the database but can not due to the missing user "zmuser" and password "zmpass" needed to make a successful connection

we must look at:
/etc/apache2/sites-available
/etc/apache2/sites-enabled
/etc/apache2/ports.conf
and the rest of the virtual host configs you have

will the commands you have when formed in a URL work from the browser?

you know what you need is a script that a ZM filter will run that will only allow 1 email per event..and can be modified to increase or decrease the time period. some where on this forum there is a copy of that exact script that was written to solve a similar situation. I may find it. and here it is...

we will be in good shape if you can reach the DVR's remotely and see each camera connected to those DVR's separately. Meaning how do you see the individual DVR streams? Is there a URL....can you open an individual stream remotely in a browser for example? Or when you see a remotely connected stream ...

what does your apache /etc/apache2/configs-enabled/zoneminder.conf look like? (or /etc/apache2/configs-avialable/zoneminder.conf)

do you have the zoneminder.conf enabled?

you know I don't know either what the disable alarm selection does for sure or exactly what it is supposed to do. I thought it was for a quick way to suspend any motion detection by suppressing the "Alarm" status

can you capture the streams from the 290 cameras without going through the DVR's?
can you connect remotely to the DVR's?

Sorry about the late reply...my internet provider has had a 3 day outage of service....and that in the shadow of New York City.

so the ZM headquarters would be remotely located away from the other physical locations?
do any of the sub systems (each CCTV net) run ZM or are they directly recorded by a DVR unit?

ZM could be used as you describe. There are several ways to approach the solution.

are all the camera networks reachable via network?
