Re: ZoneMinder 1.25.0 - preview

Hi Stema,

Have you definitely got the PHP MySQL module installed (aptitude install php5-mysql) and restarted Apache for it to take effect (/etc/init.d/apache2 restart)?

Regards,

Mathew

Re: ZoneMinder 1.25.0 - preview

Hi Phil, Ok, think I had the wrong header file there. Try using limits.h instead. I can confirm I too (on Debian Squeeze) had to do this; namely add #include <limits.h> to zm_local_camera.cpp to avoid the following during make: zm_local_camera.cpp:774: error: ‘PATH_MAX’ was not declared in this scop...

Re: Access to new 1.25.x forum

If it helps, I get the same.

The forum was only recently created (today?) so it could well be either in the process of being set up or indeed something went amiss along the way.

I'm sure once your message, or the symptom itself, has been spotted it'll be fixed asap...

Re: Bug with 'in set' filter matching and execution of comma

That's excellent - thank you Phil. Time for me to give 1.25.0 a try!

Mathew

P.S. Next time I find a bug I won't wait years before reporting it!

Re: Limiting framerate for network cameras

Thanks James. I can't seem to reproduce that problem but it sounds bad enough that I'll take your word for it and stay well away!

Thanks again,

Mathew

Re: Limiting framerate for network cameras

Hi James, it wont work long term. Can you elaborate on that? It seems (!) to be working for me, although I must confess it's only been a few hours worth of testing. By not working long term do you mean it may/will cause me issues (that I've yet to observe) further down the line? Perhaps I should jus...

Bug with 'in set' filter matching and execution of commands

Hi all, I first noticed this in v1.22.3 but for years now I've made do with a workaround and totally forgot about submitting it as a bug report. I could do with it working now so figured the least I could do was help diagnose it! The issue is that when defining a filter using the ' in set ' match cr...

Re: Limiting framerate for network cameras

Network utilisation by the camera streams remains the same, as you would expect, and so I can only assume ZM is just dropping the nugatory frames it receives. Ah, I think I may have to stand corrected on this assumption. Using iptraf to show the packet throughput it seems that for those cameras whe...

Limiting framerate for network cameras

Hi guys, I've got a question regarding limiting capture framerate for network (IP) cameras. The docs have this to say on the subject: [...] Note for IP cameras: ZoneMinder has no way to set or limit the mjpeg stream the camera passes, some cams you can set this through the url string, others do not....

Re: "logging in.." page keeps reloading with remote auth

Looks like the code got screwed somewhere along the way between releases. To fix it, find the following section in index.php : require_once( 'includes/actions.php' ); foreach ( getSkinIncludes( 'skin.php' ) as $includeFile ) require_once $includeFile; And move require_once( 'includes/actions.php' );...

Re: "logging in.." page keeps reloading with remote auth

Hi Sabuj, Did you have any joy with this? I've got exactly the same problem. I've been running a setup like this on v1.22.3 for years now without issue (although hashed AUTH_RELAY didn't work back then but I don't see that as an issue with my HTTPS setup) and so I'm a little disappointed that my new...

Sussed it out through experimentation and thought I'd post in case anyone else has a similar query. The 'in set' allows you to give a comma-separated list (set) whereby a match of any value will trigger (subject to any other required conditions being met). For example, using Monitor IDs, the set 2,4...

Use of 'matches' and 'in set' in filters?

Hi all, Previously I have been using 'equal to' in my filters to target a specific camera, however now I would like to match one of any number of cameras and so figure that 'matches' or 'in set' would suit my needs? Can someone give me an example of how I would do this? For example, let's say I have...

You can access the events (all, last hour, day, month etc) from the main window - or was it from the camera view specifically you wanted to be able to do it?

You can create a filter with the 'upload' box triggered. When you save the filter you can select the option for it to run in the background, which means uploads will occur pretty much when the event happens. ...with the caveat that you need to make sure your ZM_FILTER_EXECUTE_INTERVAL settings is l...
