Re: On git(hub), 1.26, features, bugs, etc.

I have little to add (at this stage) however I would like to thank you Kyle for saving Zoneminder. I've been using it for many many years now and was very disappointed to see it fall by the wayside. Were it not for the lack of adequate alternatives (for ym needs) I would've dropped it long ago and s...

Re: Is ZoneMiinder still under active development?

Thanks Vraa, unfortunately I'm only able to spot the bugs and not provide the fixes! ;-)

Perhaps it's a case of keeping an eye out for anyone that forks the project, particularly as there seem to be a couple of people now who are publishing their own modifications.

Re: Is ZoneMiinder still under active development?

Sadly, I think the lack of an authoritative response to this query probably answers the question....

Re: Is ZoneMiinder still under active development?

That's great; thanks.

Is that where we should report bugs (and not here/elsewhere)?

Is ZoneMinder still under active development?

As per the title, I was wondering if ZoneMinder is still under active development. The reason I ask is that I think I've found a bug and was going to report it but it is arguably not worth it if there's noone around to read about it (and roll out an eventual fix). I haven't seen Phil around for ages...

Re: Correct function of the Prev/Next event buttons?

Anyone ideas with this?

Assuming it's a bug, how does one go about reporting it?

Cheers,

Correct function of the Prev/Next event buttons?

I've noticed what I believe to be a change in behaviour (admittedly I've jumped from v1.23.3 to v1.25.0!) and was wondering if someone could confirm this, and perhaps comment on whether it is intentional or a bug? To avoid any ambiguity, let's say I bring up the full list of events, i.e. not limited...

Re: PurgeWhenFull Filter Missing

It was in my install (albeit not enabled for background running, and it was a compilation from source). You can just recreate your own with the following default parameters: Archive Status equal to Unarchived Only and Disk Percent greater than or equal to 95 Limit to first 5 results only Delete all ...

Re: Zoneminder server locking up.

Sorry, yes, I missed the key bit about this happening on two different machines hence hardware anomalies do sound unlikely (however likely the symptoms of a hard lockup pointing that way might be). Could you try a different distribution on one of the machines as a divide and conqueor approach to pin...

Re: Set Bandwidth to HIGH as DEFAULT.

I still wish it were set as the default in order to cater for making connections on new browsers without having to subsequently set it.

Check out the man page for your version of tail. There are --retry and --follow-name options which allow you to cater for the logfile rotation.

Re: Zoneminder server locking up.

Whilst obviously not all that much to go on, it sounds like a hardware issue. Are you able to swap out the RAM to see if that shifts/eliminates the problem? Perhaps even removing and reseating them might suffice.

Yes, it was on the monitor view (I've still got an old version running for this sole reason unfortunately).

Ability to switch between Stills and Stream mode

A feature I miss from previous versions of ZM is the ability to manually, and quickly, switch between Stills and Stream viewing modes when watching a monitor. Often the browser capabilities auto-detection mechanism is failing me and I am faced with a blank screen because ZM thinks the browser should...

Re: ZoneMinder-1.25.0-3500.tar make Problems

Hi yyx,

Try adding #include <limits.h> to the list of include statements in <path to your source>/ZoneMinder-1.25.0/src/zm_local_camera.cpp
