Custom text overlay on live camera image

I basically want to be able to show the temperature on the live image in the room that I am monitoring with one of my cameras. Similar to the date and monitor name.

Maybe this is easily done already?

Can you suggest some "active" baluns to use. I'm having similar issues.

Thanks!

Picture in Picture PIP

Can anyone tell me if PIP works as part of the video4linux driver or does it have to be a function of the capture card itself?

I'm interested having this work but I don't know where to start.

Thanks,

New version? I think the old control scripts should still work on the new ZM version. They really don't have much to do with ZM other than to use it's "Debug" mechanism for logging I think.

Any chance the new package will have ffmpeg support built in?

Thanks again for your work on this!

I use the same cable as my 2N on my 4N with another program and it works so at least the pinout should be the same?

Hm... not sure, it has the same connector on it as the PTZ-2N but none of the controls work with the 2N script.

I'm sure everyone is glad to hear you are starting to work on it. I just wish I could help :-)

Having an Ubuntu package to install a full ZoneMinder system is absolutely priceless!

Thank you so much for your work on this.

P.S. I can certainly be a tester if you need someone to try out installs.

Unfortunatly, both of those posts are full or replies from me, so they aren't any help. I've had swf streaming working on my other systems, but there just seems to be something missing with ffmpeg in the ubuntu package.

I'm having trouble getting ZM to stream using swf. I've matched my settings from an older install from a liveCD and still can't get it to work. I'm thinking it has somehting to do with ffmpeg? I see that it's there, but is it really installed and working? root@system-z:~# ls -l /usr/bin/ffmpeg -rwxr...
