Re: Can I go straight to the timeline?

yeah that URL works. cool. So follow on question is, what is better, to request the feature, or make it myself and do a pull request? The feature would be to add an option setting, that chooses between the events view and timeline view, for when the user clicks on the event count links from the con...

Re: Suddenly high system load due to ZMC process

You should start by posting logs around the time the load spikes. Option->Logs Aaron, >Do you have filters set up to remove old data? No, not yet. There is still plenty of free SSD space available. There is not that much old data anyway. >if you are on linux, get familiar with 'nmon', it can show yo...

Re: Can I go straight to the timeline?

Is there a way to go straight to the timeline view, instead of having to open the events view then click timeline? To me this is a much more intuitive interface, and is the preferred method of looking at events. Thanks, Aaron I think so. What happens if you go to zmip/zm/index.php?view=timeline ?

Re: open source ZM client: ZmNinja (uses ZoneMinder APIs)

Asker, please put me on the list to test the iOS version. I have ZM 1.28.107 running with the APIs. The app looks excellent, looking forward to checking it out and giving you feedback. Many thanks for your effort. If anyone's into Docker, Angel Rodriguez-Ricardo just released a zoneminder container...

zmNinja thread moved to Mobile App forum

Hi folks, the zmNinja thread has moved to the newly created Mobile App forum HERE This will keep it independent of ZM versions etc. Please follow that forum for all news about zmNinja and participate there as needed. Obviously that forum is not just for zmNinja. It's for any Mobile App as the name s...

New Real time Event Notification Service for ZM

What is it? A secure web socket based event notification system to report new events in real time. Ties into ZM authentication As of Oct 24 2015, version 0.3 also fully supports APNS/GCM if you write your own app that needs them. If you are using zmNinja, all the push work is already done for you. ...

Re: Axis DPTZ ~ Does ZM Support Digital PTZ

I don't know if someone already has written control scripts for these digitalPTZ cameras or not - probably not. However, dPTZ or PTZ, as long as it has APIs it can be made to work. I took at look at the Axis VAPIX APIs (this is what it seems to use for its PTZ cameras, including digital ones) http:/...

Re: Regarding ZoneMinder web API

Very true. The APIs are polling. Two options: a) use ZoneMinder Filters to send some sort of notification to your app when there is a new event - you won't have to poll, but its slow (not anywhere near realtime, but you can reduce the sleep duration to get it close) b) I am developing this event not...

Re: Regarding ZoneMinder web API

I would like to get support/information about following issue. I want my own home automation system to be updated when any detection captured in zoneminder. So, Does Zone Minder has any api call to get camera detections? or is there a way zoneminder broadcast the detection information (through teln...

Re: Ubuntu ZM 1.28.2

Just noticed iconnor PPA has new versions for Trusty and Vivid as of 30SEP15. Reports out as 1.28.2. Have not discovered any new features...yet. I believe iconnor got that out by mistake and is having a hard time removing it. Its not supposed to be there. https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/is...

Re: open source ZM client: ZmNinja

Folks, I've updated instructions on how to install ZM+APIs correctly. I've tested the ubuntu (iconnor's package and source) instructions today with clean OS installs before each. Please follow them accurately and you should have no problems, especially with Ubuntu (which I've tried myself, based on ...

Right now, no one except for moderators can access it. We are all waiting for Kyle Johnson to fix the permissions.
It was created so that we could have all the mobile app discussions here instead of the "1.28" forum

Re: Set function from API does not work

Please change your line to $this->daemonControl($this->Monitor->id, 'restart', $this->request->data); I tested and it works - just refresh your web console and you will see the monitor has been updated. If you monitor your logs you will also see that your monitor restarts correctly. Hi @asker, unfor...
